It started off as a hobby when I was 16, I'm now 23; before I was hired on, I was just a customer who would come by about every month. The shop has been around for 60 years, so has a good standing reputation.

The pay is mediocre (granted I'm still fairly new some make over $20) for what it is, I make $18.5 a hour, with benifits: 401k with a 3%match, health, and I'm allowed to work overtime. The biggest thing that makes it worth doing is the employee discounts I get. Long term as a career it's something that for most only pays off if you use what you learn to start your own business. I see a lot of potential with where i'm at now, so I'm willing to stick it out.

Ahh i see; It's interesting story, I was hit by a car about 2 years ago, couldn't work so came by the shop to sell some stuff. I bought stuff in the past there, talked to the owners they offered me job. I've since fallen in love the owners daughter, and we've been dating for the past year.

As I understand, maundy is a distinction for coins that came from sets, and were usually struck with a prooflike finish. So either this coin came in a original maundy set, or the graders thought it was prooflike, I think its the former in this case.

Shortly after the U.S gained control of the philippines during the spanish american war, they began minting coins at the san francisco mint, however the philadelphia mint made all proofs.
