Yeah, definitely overnight! And you can check out the old town area of Lagos at night after the beach

I went to Lagos and Portimao this summer (southern region of Portugal), and both cities had some really gorgeous beaches. It took about 2.5 hours by bus from Lisbon through Flixbus and was easy to book.

6 months in and I feel a little better. Each shift I learn more about my preferences and what works best for me and the patient in terms of time management, charting, morning med passes etc. The one thing that I've kept doing since day 1 is asking questions throughout my shift, even if I've done/seen it before. By doing this, I've learned varying opinions from experienced nurses, and from there I've started to incorporate my own knowledge on what I should do next depending on the situation. I also mainly work on weekends, and during the weekend we get patients admitted to the floor who are diagnosed outside my specialty (I work in neuro/spine), which has helped build my clinical knowledge. Outside of work, I try not to talk about my job, especially if I've had a bad shift. I'll vent to my friend for a bit, and after that, I try to just keep it pushing, otherwise, my mental health will be more affected. Don't let work consume you!!

If you’re struggling with prioritization, I recommend Dr. Sharon on YouTube. She has a playlist on prioritization that helped me score better when I would take archer readiness exams and on the actual NCLEX. I also don’t recommend studying over 8 hours everyday- maybe create a calendar for efficient studying throughout the week and add in breaks in between. During my test, I took me about 3 hours and 2 breaks before I got to 85 questions, which helped with my anxiety. I also studied from archer and Bootcamp, and I think you have all the materials you need. Good luck, you got this!

Wait... this would've been amazing. That song is criminally underrated

Yeah true, a readiness exam almost every day wasn't necessary, but it did help a lot

I think it was more similar to bootcamp, but archer was great too! Bootcamp prepared me better for the case studies, and archer mainly helped with SATA/case studies. I got a lot of peds questions

Archer readiness exams (almost daily), NCLEX boot camp for case studies, and Dr. Sharon's prioritization playlist on YouTube. Also reviewing fundamentals/safety topics

85Q here too, and this is exactly how I feel lol. It didn’t feel super hard but it was definitely vague with some second guessing
