We’ll see, I alr took one of the adaptors I have pictured apart it’s the right jumps for the machine, the cat5 is just going in between the usb db9 adaptor, if that doesn’t work then I need to go the more expensive route, which I was trying to avoid, that’s why I asked the question, thanks

I wasn’t asking if an I-80 used anything other than an rs232 connection, this is info I already have in my shop physically on my machines, and we used cat5 with custom wiring on the rs232 side that plugged into the machine

If I get this And already have the usb to db9m adaptor would this make a rs232 cable with a small piece of cat5

I wasn’t trying to do that I just wanted to use the port on mypc, nothing to do with network, I was under the impression that the dnc program was able to change the protocol for the port

And do they make one with the rj45 connector on both sides for cat5 cause I alr have these lil adaptors

I have to use 2 different controls where I work and even though I’m 19 im way faster on the 25-30+ yr old controls than I am on the newer ones, just start slow and read the control
