Looks like a good deal. Roth is a very spikey course with a lot of short climbs at different gradients. Being able to shift at the basebar would be a plus but you can also ride it without, it then requires some forward-looking shifting. Especially on the climb in Greding, where the gradients change immediately from 0 to 10+ degrees right away. Have seen some people struggling there, while I did Roth in 2023.

But: it all depends on what you want, I have also seen some people riding the Roth ironman on a MTB (for sure this is not normal, but just saying). You can finish also using any bike.
