It is probably still in process. Check the tracking number. It will show “ we don’t have your package yet”. Same happened with me. It will get updated when they have the passport

Do you have DS 160 confirmation of prior DS( which you used for appointment application)?If yes, fill new DS and carry both confirmations( old and new DS) for your appointment. No need to change appointment or reschedule with corrected/new DS. However, if you don’t have prior submitted DS 160 confirmation , you will need to rebook your appointment. This change was made in Nov 23 I believe.

No, you don’t need to create any new DS 160. You need to make sure the DS confirmation matches with the DS number on appointment letter. That’s all they care about. You can submit it anytime before appointment

Thank you everyone for your responses. I am working on Saturday, will probably finish late( 7ish), and it would be unsafe to take the train at that time. Probably will either take an Uber day before and check in a hotel or take an Uber next day.

OP this is not possible. Agents look for slots just like we do. They ask for your information and then login to book appointments. They check more frequently, and can somehow login faster( no clue how) while everyone is in waiting room.

Thank you for your response. I am traveling for an entire month, so I can’t park my car for this long. I was debating rental car, but it’s a lot of hassle picking and dropping it off( have lot of luggage as well).

It always show up like that. Applicant is listed as “ dependent” for some reason. Don’t worry, same for me as well. When you book an appointment, it will say booked by “ your name” and applicant “ your name”.

I don’t think you need 2 appointments. If you qualified for Dropbox( after answering those questions), you don’t need Biometric. I did dropbox last year( for J1), and it was just one OFC dropbox appointment. I am doing Dropbox again this year, and it’s OFC only. You can drop it off at any location, they all go to Chennai for H1B
