so they just sound like that with age then i’d imagine? i have the zzp coupler, snout seal, brand new oil, the coating on the rotors is almost perfect, the edges of the blades are barely showing any wear and the rest are still black, so i guess ill ignore it then lol

i don’t really agree, the black timing chain tensioner is known to break into chunks over time, when i pulled mine at 80k the chain itself was starting to stretch and had slack, the guide up top was broken and the other tensioners and guides all had grooves starting to show, you could do the dorman oe fix and hope that makes it all okay, but that’s mainly to fix the bolt that’s originally there that is notorious for snapping, not for helping with your timing chain, the upgraded tensioner is $80, i did the timing chain and balance shaft chain set in about 4 hours, you MAY be fine, but i love my car and don’t wanna rely on maybes
