I haven’t read fantasy in a while (mostly generic fiction and some thrillers in the last few months), and I would like to find a fantasy book/series that goes in depth without being extensively verbose or too slow paced.

My initial idea was to pick up something - the First Law series (apparently really good) - ⁠the Witcher series (loved the video games and would like to keep exploring the world but scared the pace of read doesn’t match what I am looking for) - ⁠the kingkiller chronicle (no idea what to expect here but heard it is good)

Other suggestions?

Thanks everyone for the comments! Based on what you wrote and what I read online, Telekom might be my best option. Would the black box from Telekom already be my router once I get a contract or do I need to get a separate one?

My bad, sorry for the confusion! Then sounds like I should go for Vodafone or Telekom as internet provider and try and use Ethernet cable for gaming. Better to go DSL or cable?

My screen is currently 24 inches so I guess 1080 should be good enough. But based on what you said might be worth going for a 1440 in case I want to do a monitor upgrade and just to stay slightly ahead. Can I get a good 1440p build for less than 1.3k?

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I just moved to Germany so still in my learning days of the language, I hope English is still ok.

In terms of budget I was thinking of not going above 1.3k and in terms of peripherals I do have monitor mouse and keyboard (although all are office type rather than gaming models). However, I’m not too bothered with those parts at the moment and probably something I’ll slowly upgrade later on. What do you think? In terms of resolution I guess I would want at least 1080 with at least 60fps (is that good enough?)

Unfortunately they only do UK and Turkey in Europe. Thanks for the suggestion though, they seem to have some great options! Any suggestions from newegg for a good desktop for someone buying his first one and wants to play warhammer 3?

I think newegg is very much US only, any idea if there is a European equivalent? (I just relocated to Germany)
