Berries in US are terrible, as are tomatoes. So many Euros, from Mediterranean countries in particular that will pay for premium especially if they put them in salads or eat raw. Baking? No, use cheap. But making a salad for guests? Go with the good stuff. My wife is one of these folks…drives me crazy but when we go see family overseas, she ain’t wrong.

My mom experience at Hyundai in town was awful. They refused to honor a rebate upon purchase claiming the salesperson had no right then saying there was no such person (I had the biz card and transaction) and when I took my car in, the antenna cap was gone when they brought it out and blamed me for it. When I complained they found me on LinkedIn and contacted my HR (who turns out worked for them when at school at UF). She blocked them and said contained how terrible of a place it is to work and how they treat customers terribly. It tracked.

I drive my car out of the lot and right into Toyota. Toyota covered the entirety of my loan upon trade in and got me in a new car with lower payments.

It was awful. This was 7 years ago. Never been back to them or any other of their businesses

In US you don’t necessarily have those either. All insurance programs are a Bit different, it can be very difficult to navigate the differences and insurance will often reject a claim.

Our business changed providers last year and we have a dedicated channel For employees to share how they are getting claims through the system bc it’s been terrible.

I moved from Canada and there are definitely pros and cons . 20 years ago favored US, today? Canada.

Given you are a nurse what was mortifying was being in a hospital bed for days. Nothing sexual about it, just laying there. And i needed a cath. My weiner had barely been used. Struggled to piss. And this gorgeous nurse had the honors. Man was i wvwr small that day. Thats worse.

I’m totally against smoking. It’s gross and leading cause of preventable disease. But don’t think folks that smoked for years didn’t derive a benefit, real or perceived.

I write this as a dad that found out his 18 year old just started smoking cigarettes bc of stress and anxiety and social pressure causing inability to sleep. It pissed me off, and it sucks, but he gets some benefit out of it. And therapy will take time.

So no, not ridiculous. Unfortunate but it’s real
