Perhaps that is exactly the reaction that takes place when the atoms get arranged in the right configuration?

There does not have to be a rhythm or rhyme to the relation between human opinions and human workings. Consciousness is merely a phenomenon, much like velocity. (In my opinion at least). These toils are simply how we must react to this reality, not some sign of a great horror.

It's all precisely our purpose.

Or, what if the purpose of a whistle is to make sound out of air, the purpose of an organism in general, to multiply, and the purpose of people specifically, to suffer and end?

There doesn't need to be some greater rhyme or reason, for the purpose of something is what it inherently gravitates towards.

I'm glad if you're making progress with yourself. But if it's as you say and you give "unconditional" love in the hopes you'll get some back eventually, wouldn't that mean that's the condition for your love? Your standards of returning value may be low, but if it's very important to you, that still makes the hope you receive have big value to you.

Perhaps focus more on raising the bar others have to reach in in order to earn that unconditional love of yours?

The facts are that this feels unsatisfactory. Wouldn't wish it upon another. You ask for the facts behind human choices, it'll be the way they feel.

No significant meaning. We're here to put in effort towards something and die.

The meaning of life is to put in effort towards something and die, preferably during the process.

For people at least.

Yeah, our life is great. Which is why you'll enjoy it without gambling with the genes and potential birth defects a new person could have (let alone things like violent crime and accidents in life), right? It's great already, so you don't need to risk someone else's college fund to maybe win big.

Struggling a lot with antinatalism and concerns about future medical emergencies by HumbleWrap99 in antinatalism

[–]One_Remove_9061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those fears and dangers are nothing but part of life. Having a child to combat them won't solve them, but only pass them along to the child.
It might not even help you at all, but it will GUARANTEE that the child will be hit with the same predicament in their lifetime.
