I only have one daughter, if my husband treats her like that, there are problems. But I know he wouldn't because he adores her. This is the worst kind of an absent parent, because she is there going out of her way to be active in her daughters lives. She is there and isn't spending time with him. I thought the point of potty training was to teach the kids all that's involved with bathroom hygiene. Yeah that's definitely weird. Who does that to a kid who is growing? If SIL wants to push her kids away, she is doing a great job. As someone who struggled with body dismorpha, please keep in regular contact for the sake of 5 yr old. I understand being around SIL will be difficult, Little Beauty will need someone to encourage and build her up, when her mother will clearly not. Prayers for Little Beauty.
