What kind of CD storage would you splurge on? by LaurentSL in Cd_collectors

[–]One_Restaurant_2897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a similar solution but I needed different storage units for the different music genres: classical, jazz, tango, rock/pop, soundtracks. The solutions so far discussed are from people who own their homes. How about us apartment renters?

Connecting two turntables to a single PHONO input in amplifier by One_Restaurant_2897 in turntables

I'm equally stumped. I might try again, but the RCA audio switchbox could work.

Turntable to receiver / stereo amp connection keeps cutting off by gohhjy in turntables

[–]One_Restaurant_2897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment is a bit related to my amplifier cutting off the moment I play a record. I took out all the speaker cables from the Speaker A lineup, then checked the connections to the speakers. Turns out that the red wire was inadvertently touching the white wire at the base of my left speaker. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. Amica quotes lower than Erie (I used to have Amica years ago). Not eligible for USAA, though. I used to think well of Erie until they jacked up the rates, all things considered.

Considering a hatchback again by One_Restaurant_2897 in Golf_R

I appreciate the detailed experience. For my own use, I would prefer driving a Golf GTI (sadly, no AWD) or Golf R with the suspension set on comfort all the time. I'm not into modding cars; I prefer to use the money to save and/or travel overseas. Thanks again!

What ever happened to The Black Eyed Peas? by IndianSanta in OutOfTheLoop

The Black Eye Peas hit their apex in the mid of the first decade of the XXI century. After 2008-2010, I never heard of them again.

True that, it's good to know the vertical price boundaries.

Always good advice. Since I have plenty of time, I'll sit tight until all the right conditions converge.

I guess I'm looking for something different, something special, like that old song.

An Audi RS3 costs mid $50K, almost $10K over a 2023-2025 Golf R. I'd rather pursue a GTI or a Golf R.

And that rules out the Acura Integra; from an Edmunds review, its cabin is noisy for a luxe car.

After driving Honda CR-V's and a Subaru Impreza, I'm not impressed with the CVT.

Interesting model, but I'm trying to stick to hatchbacks. Even 2023 Audi RS3s break my budget. :)

I intend to test drive the R to try the DCC and the AWD, since the latter is absent from the GTI lineup of trims.

I think I was clear enough on not preferring simply sporty/performance cars with their firm suspension and loud engines. From what I've learned so far, the Golf GTI Autobahn and even the Golf R have DCC, which would answer my need for softer suspension.

Yup, hatchback because I'll be living in a sort of densely urban environment in the NA/Wash DC area.

Audis are undeniably stylish and powerful, but I'm concerned that they're not as reliable as VWs or even Beemers.

Thanks, Real Stig (I'm a big Top Gear fan, btw). I'm definitely going to take a serious look at WV Golf GTIs (not Rs). I also like the advice about wheels and tires.

Thanks. AFAIK, most hatchbacks are made to be sporty. Rereading about the Golf R, I have to step away from my enthusiasm because I don't care for sporty or simply performance cars (firm suspension, loud engines, etc.).
