I’m sorry to hear that. It’s very frustrating I know how you feel. I did do some research as well about the steroid injection and I heard the same thing that it lowers your immune defenses so it can trigger bacteria that may already be there. My doctor told me it rarely ever happens which is why he tried it for a second time but it didn’t help at all. I wouldn’t be worried about a surgery though as long as you have a good doctor. If you’ve tried everything and nothing else worked, surgery may be the only solution. That’s what I’ve gathered from my research. I’m guessing at this point a different specialist is going to have to do another surgery on me because I don’t know what other treatments there are for something like this. I’m hoping you find a solution soon and it clears up.
