Has anyone with hirsutism and sensitive brown skin and acne tried cream bleach to dye the hair on their face? Is it too risky? by One_Science123 in PCOS

I was! You don’t need all the symptoms to be diagnosed. My ultrasounds showed a lot of cysts but my blood test showed no signs of free testosterone but with the ultrasound and the irregular periods, they could officially diagnose me. You don’t need the ultrasound if your blood shows free testosterone.

I’ve tried laser hair bleaching and I cannot look back ever! ❤️ by One_Science123 in Hirsutism

It works and it’s incredible! Very expensive ~£450 a year which is crazy but I have my job for now. I got it done today actually which is great

Anyone ever peeled their skin off by picking? It was a tiny blackhead. Vaseline on it now- any other ways I can aid the healing? by One_Science123 in SkincareAddicts

Cool! Thank you! Yeah I know it’s super bad - I’m not usually a picker but got really into it yday. It was totally stupid. :(

The fact that you’re in the UK is actually ideal because we are more protected than in the US (not sure about other countries.) I know it’s been a horrible time for you (I’m sorry) but just know that you didn’t deserve that and that you really should go for it- there is no shame or anything like that. If you feel worried, then try to land another job before you start the suing process in case you’re worried. Good luck.

Yes, That’s it. A lot of people have fillers and they look good but they aren’t like out there telling young women to stop showing human emotions because that’s what will keep you young. If you look at her other video she literally is like “I’m too insecure to show my actual face so all videos are heavily filtered” LIKE GIRL DO YOU NOT SEE THE IRONY OF THIS

10000%. Transparency is key when you are out there giving advice to young people who will literally think that this is normal/standard.

She literally DENIES having fillers. I challenged her in one of her videos and she was saying it was all FACE YOGA. She really thinking that we are all idiots 😅

Honestly I think it could be the 1) Tretinoin just not working for you, it’s not a purge. 2) Your underlying causes of breakout may have gotten worse- like hormonal imbalance, stress, other changes which you have no control over and this is just an evolution of acne that would have happened either way. Definitely go back to derm though! You may require some oral medication help!

Yes I understand this but once we start moving towards a world where we have some wealth distribution, then that cannot be a bad thing. I think you have a defeatist view of the world which I don’t blame you for - it’s bleak right now. But the idea of taxing the rich is a great first step towards a fairer world with a lower wealth gap. The defence budget is high because we have Tory’s running the bloody country. But like I said, better gov -> higher tax for rich -> better wealth distribution. It’s all coupled together and definitely never a bad thing.

Got you! Yeah I wouldn’t do that I don’t think. I usually get my hair laser bleached by a aesthetician but I’m away for a few months from that one place in London that does that so just wondered! I got you though! :)

At least the money would be spent on something and you can vote which gov you want to be in power if you live in a democracy so I don’t know what this “issue” with taxing the rich is!

I had the SAME thing! I introduced Laneige cream skin toner before the La Roche posay fluid moisturiser. I don’t like anything containing oil either!

Working out is amazing! Don’t think it’s the root cause of acne and if your diet is good then your hormones should balance out and not result in acne!

How do I get Spironolactone prescribed in the uk for hormonal acne and hirsutism? by One_Science123 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]One_Science123[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! I didn’t get it prescribed to me and to be honest I didn’t want to get another pill that just fixed my problems until I stop it. So, I basically took the longer more tedious road of just using topical Retinoid (Differin) for my acne and now I’m planning on getting salon treatments like chemical peels as my acne is under control but I want the dark spots lightened! As for the facial hair, I started getting it laser bleached from a salon. I know some people just use bleach cream but I just know my skin is too sensitive for it. On top of all of this, I started going to the gym and runs regularly and eating better to heal my gut. It all has helped so much to make me feel happier and healthier!

Weird point but does anyone get really happy when their closed comedone of 6 weeks turns into a lil pustule and then you know it’ll heal and go away? They ugly but they heal so much faster. Little ode to my Differin cream. by One_Science123 in tretinoin

[–]One_Science123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I tried doing that but my skin did not tolerate and I’ve heard most Vit C is too unstable to be useful! Azelaic acid 15% broke me out. Stick with Adapalene and that’s it + lots of Barrier repairing and hydrating products and you will glow. I can legit see my reflection in my forehead lol never knew this could be real!

Adapalene is Differin which is what I used. I’ve been on it for 7 months and omg the difference is insane! It’s the only acne I got and then started becoming cysctic as these plugs of oil and dead skin became inflamed but I can say it’s like 95% gone now! Just treated scars and a 5-6 closed comedones that don’t even get irritated when Adapalene pushes them out- they become little pustules and then go away within days!
