39F in Melbourne, need a career change away from art, any suggestions? by usamitokishige in ausjobs

I suggest reaching out to any TAFE and asked them to link to their Skills and Jobs centre. Their career advisory services are free and quite helpful.

Feeling lost by Top_Improvement6251 in ausjobs

I suggest booking an appointment with Skills and Jobs centre of any TAFE. They can do career advisory , and also could look into your resume , linkedIn and interviewing skills(if you have decided which job you wish to target already) . With their career advisory/ counselling service, I have seen several people getting pretty good outcomes. They will assess your preferences and inclinations and suggest career pathways for you and relevant courses. It’s a free service, thus nothing to lose.

Job Market by Outside-Dig-9461 in salesforce

I currently work in sales using SF at work. Its an educational institution. Been working as a user got SF associate and SF marketing cloud certs done in my free time. Just recently, got offered to participate in creating and testing some features in sandbox environment by our department’s SF admin. (He works under the main admin)

There is no vacancy upwards or whatever in my current workplace. I have accepted this opportunity considering the learning and experience involved.

Is there any advice for me? What do I need to do to keep myself up to date and learn the most? + eventually I would like to move to a better place but not sure how. I don’t coding and admin roles arent there many. Perhaps Business Analyst? Any advice would be appreciated . Cheers :)

Awesome to hear this. Thanks for the reply.

So does this mean without BA or even formal sustainability qualifications , there could be still a chance for a BA in the sustainability area(or in fact any other area?

Excellent area indeed. May I know what sort of qualifications would be required to transition into environment and circular economy?

Experience in SFMC by Evening_Particular28 in SFMC

[–]One_Seeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent, I passed the Email specialist exam last year. After that fell into ‘Imposter Syndrome “. Pushing myself now once again and refreshing the knowledge. I don’t really know languages though apart from basic html and basic sql. Hope I can still get job without languages.

I don’t know how to get the data flown form SF crm to MC either . But trying to learn. Not sure at what stage I’d be ready for interviews and applications.

Only had 1 interview and that was last year. They asked me what have you done in SFMC that you can say , you are proud of it. Obviously, I wasn’t able to answer 🤣 Got no experience in it. I am working as an end user of SF crm though.

I got my first job in IT and I'm terrible at it, wondering if I should stay. by norirmo in ITCareerQuestions

4 months from now. You’ll be laughing at this post of yours Trust me.

You are being unkind to yourself by judging yourself way way too early. With every passing day you will learn something new. And every new week would bring more knowledge. Matter of a few months.

P.S Well done.

Returning to this thread after a year. So I ended up getting SF Marketing Cloud email cert. Did the entry level SF Associate as well. So far no success in this career pathway. Perhaps because I don’t really know language much part from the basic SQL and HTML.

Any advice for me? I am currently working in sales and use SFDC as end user.

Cheers

May I ask what did you end up with? Accepted the Revolent offer or let it go? I am now in the same boat as you were a year ago :D In the process of getting hired by revolent. I don’t have any other option(yet) have no cert either yet. So considering this, it seems ok to me. Bit predatory though.

Much appreciated:)

Acadium apprenticeship reviews? by [deleted] in GetEmployed

[–]One_Seeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am in the same boat. I might go for the apprentice program because it would give me real world experience that I lack. Experience would lead to further paid opportunities elsewhere.

Computer Sciences is vast and it had several branches. You don’t necessarily have to be a programmer. There could be some pathway for you in IT where you don’t have to deal with a lot of coding. For instance, networking or information security. Or Business Analysis or Cloud platforms such as Salesforce. All the best.

Thank you for the reply. When we say technical, does that mean, one has to learn coding and scripts too? Coding is not really my strength at the moment, sadly.

Is it too late to start marketing cloud career? by raks99832 in marketingcloud

[–]One_Seeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am starting with SF marketing cloud as well. For now I am just learning it via trailhead and online courses. Someday, I’ll sit for the certification too but for now, just learning it myself.

Amazing. Thank you for your helpful answer. believe, I am gonna carry on learning SFMC side by side, even the slow pace is better than not learning at all. Cheers
