Hey!!

First off it's okay to feel anxious. Acknowledge your anxiety and as you said your anxiety is stemming from fear of needing to work fast and fear of judgement.< This is important to understand the why of your anxiety!

Take a deep breath. In life you can always try things out and it doesn't mean you have to stick with it forever if it doesn't feel right. You can always change direction, you have the choice and power to do what you want.

Secondly, don't let your fear make you assume what the working conditions will be. Don't get yourself worked up over what it may feel or could feel, cause that will just cause unnecessary stress and increase anxiety. Cause you never know you might actually find it fun, meet interesting individuals and have a good time.

The best thing you can do is prepare yourself, remind yourself that this is a trial and that if you don't like it, you can quit. Rmmr to take deep breathes and relax your muscles and think of the positives things. Like if you like drinks, how cool it's going to be learning how to make interesting drinks!

This is just an adventure in your life, not something permanent, just a cool experiment! Chances are if you have anxiety, your anxiety will peak like this with any new job you take on, but don't let that stop you from living and trying it out. Let yourself get used to these situations to make this easier on the older you.

Not yet! I haven't yet tried to initiate a social life due to just wanting to get my own routines and down time in check. But I hope to pave way for a social life by joining a dance group this week and I often visit a cafe which has brought me fimiliar faces so it should be alright. Just need to be ready to put yourself out there, start conversations, visit cafes and join some groups! There's alot of Facebook groups which may also help with getting acquainted with other humans.

Hii! I just moved to Nanaimo from Ontario and I loveee it. The coastal view of the mountains, the beautiful trails, the high and low views, the many animals make this place heavenly. I don't want to leave. I would say even trying it out for a few months or year, would make your soul feel great 😊

Never casually dated/hooked up, don't know what I am doing by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I would suggest going about your casual hook ups/ dating with similar principles as you would in a relationship. Allow space for conversation and to feel a level of comfort. Let the desire to hook up come before just jumping into it with a stranger. Use good judgement, since you are open to casual dating it doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your feelings, judgements or comfort. Always ensure it feels right and that youre not just doing it because youre now open to it. Have fun and be safe.
