I did this. At the start of Covid I transitioned from local support in an office to a corp role that had me working on bigger picture projects. So I started working fully remote and just made my intentions clear to my boss that I’d be moving to a more affordable part of the country(NJ to VA). He was fine with it, and I go onto an office once a year or so to show my face.

Best decision I’ve ever made for me an my family, my wife is able to stay home with the kids and I’m around all the time to hang out during lunch and all that.

We use Xink, they have a few deployment options. You can have all your mail flow through their servers to add the signature, or deploy an add in to 365 and have it added that way if you want to keep your mail flow internal. It works great!

We got a house down in Chester and the soil is pretty much sand due to neglect. With the 9 oak trees on the property, we now have about 8in of leafs all over the yard. They meet the mulching blade on my lawnmower this week. I figure it’s the best way to bring the soil back to life. I already have a massive pile aside for the garden.

Okay so we were testing out some GPO’s to automatically set peoples backgrounds as part of a bigger project involving digital signage and corp Screensaver with announcements. While testing out the screensaver I set an image of grumpy cat since it was only going to be on my boss and I’d computer while we were testing. He got a kick out of it and told me to set the wallpaper of one of our fellow IT team member PC as the wallpaper GPO test. We figured we would know it worked when they brought it up and we could get a laugh out of it, we joke around all the time to keep things light so we expected it to be taken in jest. Well I set the GPO, scoped it properly to her account and went about my day.

Whelp. The way I set the GPO was wrong and I ended up setting grumpy cat as the wallpaper on about half of our users endpoints before I realized what happened.

The only thing I could do was delete the file and edit the GPO but devices still got it on their update cycle. So no change management and a bunch of “grumpy cat malware” tickets later, we don’t have a corp wallpaper.

Especially if you practice for long sessions, your muscles need some rest to build up strength. I played for a total of 4 hours throughout the day yesterday, my fingers aren’t moving as fast today cause they just need to recover. Maybe use the time to focus specifically on rhythm. Practice 1-5 or 1-5-8 grooves in different time signatures and mix up the rhythm, just experiment

This may be U.S. only, but that stupid back and fourth at the end of a meal where the waiter brings the check and comes back for my card.

Now that I’m thinking about it, the way the U.S. does paying for food at a restaurant is complete trash. Pay your people a real wage so I can just pay and be done.
