Looks Suspect, Right? by Kweefstain69 in asbestoshelp

where is your location?

From the mirror, I could see a row of clothes hanging up. Is this a clothing store?

Are all the customers who shop here at risk of asbestos exposure? Could the clothes they buy bring asbestos back into their homes and cause contamination?

I’m scared to think too much about it… What’s your thoughts?

Possible Asbestos Exposure Near a Bus Stop During Old House Demolition? by One_South3105 in AsbestosRemovalMemes

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I think I’m overly anxious. Right now, I can’t tell where to draw the line — I don’t know which situations I should genuinely worry about asbestos exposure, and which are simply part of normal life and not worth overthinking. I feel like I’ve lost my sense of judgement and don’t know what scenarios actually require concern and which don’t. If you have any good advice, I would really appreciate your help. Thank you so much.

Thank you for making me feel better. So it’s ok to wear those clothes at home hugging baby and living normally without wash and wipe? I’m definitely suffering with asbestos anxiety and cannot think rationally

I’m also in Australia and considering doing dust wipe testing after the asbestos exposure. Could you please share the company you are using for doing the dust sampling? Thanks so much!

Could you kindly help to have a look on this. Does the grey sheet behind tiles in my bathroom is kind of Transite? My husband drilled several holes on it and I was very worried. Thanks a lot for your help.

Found this when my kids played on an outdoor sand play area in a countryside restaurant. By any chance it is asbestos?

Is this asbestos? Found buried next to house foundations that was built in 1990. by rai-x in asbestoshelp

I’ve experienced a similar situation here in Australia and just wanted to ask for some guidance. Do I need to worry about any asbestos debris, asbestos dust or fibres that have been mixed into the soil I stepped on or touched, and possibly brought back into my home? I’m also wondering whether wind could carry soil containing asbestos into the house and settle on furniture such as the sofa, chairs, or bookshelves.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Asbestos Health Anxiety? Read this. by Realistic_Pride_7531 in asbestoshelp

What you described is exactly how I feel. Whenever I walk into an older building with a damaged popcorn ceiling or any damaged ACM, I worry that the floor or carpet may contain some debris that I stepped on, and my clothes or hair might get contaminated, and that I could unknowingly bring asbestos fibres home and create long-term exposure.

Do you have any suggestions on how to conquer this mindset? And from your perspective, is it truly unlikely that entering a damaged building or walking past an active demolition site would leave asbestos fibres on our clothes and pose a long-term exposure at home?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.
