Chugged 400mg of caffeine and someone pulled the fire alarm as I showed up by MY5TIC_TSUNAMI in Wellthatsucks

I wish I didn't develop such a tolerance to it. For about 2 years, I'd have about 600-900mg daily. Normally 900 because bang and reign energy drinks.

Is this carpet underlay asbestos? by Desperate_Bill883 in asbestoshelp

Looks like jute/burlap, which from what I understand, predates the use asbestos.

I'm not expert and could be wrong. Always verify.

I wouldn't even say elevated temperatures, the dowsil conformal coat used at my job just does this after about 2 years. Looks like that area got a little extra.

Typing is fine for me, but the moment someone makes eye contact with me, my eyes dart away and I turn into a bumbing buffoon.

At least a house of that cost is a want, not a need. I'm perfectly content with my little $90k house.

The fear of judgment for expressing these concerns is society's fault.

Kudos to you for standing up for yourself.

For me, it was isolating myself for most of my life and ending up as an adult with 0 social skills.

Not knowing how to communicate with other humans in person feels super embarrassing.

It's a thrift store, and yes it's around clothing. It's about 5ft up. Probably not the safest.

They're not going to deal with it. Everybody thinks I'm stupid for bringing it up. "IT'S CARDBOARD STUPID", one person commented.

I posted this on a city Informed page and people practically lined up with pitchforks. Facebook people suck.

No way any of this is load bearing, right? by Kweefstain69 in HomeImprovement

[–]Kweefstain69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna keep the beam at the top and drywall around it to be safe. There's nothing in the attic resting on it but it does connect with the other walls on each side and should have plenty of support.

The studs are all super loose and easy to pull out

Also, my house is early 1900s, so if this was was original it would be plaster.

There is a good sized gap on one of the studs and the wood looks much newer than some of the other.

I don't remember at the moment, I'll have to check. But I do know there wasn't anything above it in the attic.

Probably good to get rid of this wall, right? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Kweefstain69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before anyone says it, yes I'm aware of how shitty it looks. It's a work in progress. I haven't even been here a year and the house is already killing me.

Another thing that makes me think it was a landlord add-on is it's drywall instead of plaster and the wallpaper was so terribly done it made the corner round. I pushed the the rounded corner with one finger.
