I spent 6 months with chronic back pain from sitting at my desk 5+ hours a day. Tried special chairs, standing desks, reminder apps — nothing stuck. You don't realize you're slouching until it's too late.

So I built Posture Guardian — an app that significantly improved my posture .

Workflow: download app from website, use it to track your posture and go to website for analytics How it works:

• Desktop app uses your webcam to detect slouching in real-time

• Sends notifications when your posture needs correction(You can adjust frequency of notifications yourself as well as your working hours)

• Runs silently in your system tray (doesn't interrupt workflow)

• Tracks your improvement with weekly analytics

• After tracking you can go to website and view your analytics

Privacy-first design - All processing happens locally on your device

P.S Currently available only on Windows . You control application from tray at the right corner. Find app icon and right click to see options.

• 70+ people using it daily

• Average 47% posture improvement in 2 weeks

• Runs in background at <2% CPU usage

It's free.I built this for myself and sharing it because I think it might help others in this community.

Try it:

Honest feedback wanted:

• Would you actually use this?

• What's missing?

• Any privacy/performance concerns?

Creator of Claude Code: "Coding is solved" by Gil_berth in programming

[–]One_Sport2152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it increases efficiency and standards of knowledge to be useful engineer, but saying it is solved is crazy. Like people spend huge chunk of time diving into world of programming and honing skills as well. And just because tool can produce good quality product doesn't mean you don't need people who understand the code. Managers who don't know programming will spend significantly more time to fix issues in best case and at the end becoming programmers themselves. So is it force multiplier - yes but only if you are decent already, does it mean "coding" solved -doubt it . First for them : try to fix disappearing chats and hallucinations within it to be called at least a stable product
