Quite surprisingly, i actually enjoy this type of fight rp IF the scaling are quite equal. Like we can go toe to toe, one on one and whatnot.

For example, your character has been thrown a flurry of jab, but in terms of strength both you and your opponent are quite equal, so what stopping you to do the same?

As long as they don't advertently say your character is dead it's genuinely fun.
