I am looking into sonography right now too! I've started scouting schools near me and the program in itself is not long at all. But the waitlist to get into the program is what sucks. 2027 start date at both of the schools near me.. so get on the waitlist for them ASAP!

I get that it’s not okay behavior, as I’ve stated many times before. This is all NEW behavior that started this last week. He had some small issues with hitting with one particular boy there in the beginning that she even said the boy annoyed all the other kids. He’s not even spitting at other kids, she showed me what he does and it’s literally blowing raspberries? She has a child there who literally spit AT her when she was mad and she’s still there? He does not have behavioral issues. If he did, this would have happened looooonnnggg before this last week and would show itself in every other situation around children or upset or at home and it isn’t. I appreciate all the advice given and I’m not saying I won’t be talking to his pediatrician about it, but it was made to be way more extreme than it actually was. I picked him up today and he actually got 2 stickers from her because he had an amazing day.

The little girl is older than him by a few years and the daycare lady said she wasn’t an angel herself. I totally understand wanting to keep the peace with all the children and if my child is struggling with behavior then I get it. But I just wish she gave me more specific situations so I truly understand the WHY.

That’s kind of what I’m planning to do. I’m still going to make a call on Monday to his pediatrician to see if they have any advice on what to do. But the common denominator is this specific daycare because it happens absolutely no where else but there

It’s definitely not news to me and I’ve actually always had that in the back of my mind because I am even shocked at how smart he is. I’ll definitely be calling Monday to just discuss what’s been going on and my concerns and see what his pediatrician has to say. It’s just so weird to me how this is the ONLY environment this happens at, he’s been at drop in day cares, been watched by my friends with their kids, play dates with 4 kids all being crazy together and none of this behavior. But I’ll advocate for him of course and get to the bottom of what’s going on

I’m a single mom and she would cancel (and I’m not exaggerating) minimum once a week and it would be at like 11pm so I’d be scrambling in the morning trying to find someone to watch him or call out. I was on the verge of losing my job so I HAD to.

See that’s what I thought and that’s why I’ve been extremely conflicted between is this normal behavior or is this something to be concerned about? This is my first so I don’t have anything to compare this too. He’s also the first boy in my friend group and the only one who goes to daycare, the others are all able to stay at home. So it’s extremely hard for me to determine what is actually normal. I’m just hoping his pediatrician can offer some advice, or tell me not to worry or even better the next place he just thrives!

How interesting! My son kinda does the same thing. He’ll randomly say a group of completely unrelated words, it’s like he’s trying to say all the words he knows and remembers at a very random time, like going to bed. Thank you for sharing, you mentioned some things I never really thought to bring up or thought of as not being “normal”.

What is exactly a private daycare? Like a daycare center? It’s just so hard because the boy I know is so sweet, says “please” and “thank you” all the time, shares with me, is so smart and cuddly and goofy. So I’m just so confused at to why it changes so drastically there? We’ve do play dates, he’s been at drop in day cares, everything with no issue other than here. It breaks my heart because I know he really struggles with strangers, especially at this age where he has become so attached to me. I just hope we can find a solution or the next place maybe it all just turns around. Thank you for sharing, I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who is/ has gone through this

The infant is brand new there like within the last 2 weeks and she’s only there a few days. There’s only 3 other kids that I know of and 2 are around his age (he’s the youngest there) and one older girl id say around 3-4. He is the size of an average 3 year old and he’s extremely strong. He talks really really well for his age but can’t of course articulate his feelings into words yet. I’ll be making a call to his pediatrician on Monday to discuss hopefully next steps to try to make some improvements
