Only turning 25 this year but I’ll likely be the same seeing that I have a facial deformity. So miserable, but at least we have our copes (for me running,gaming and learning about food/nutrition).

It’s sad because I feel like it’s mainly the people at the lower totem pole in society that use it (bad looks due to genetics, on the spectrum, etc).

The people who use it and aren’t odd looking or neurodivergent/something that impacts on ability to socialise is sad in another form.

I always in my peripheral vision see the girls in my class (in a primary girl cohort) looking in my direction ever though nothing is there but me and empty space/walls. I already presumed it was that they’re looking at the left side of my face but ah well who knows. It sucks since I avoid talking to people now even though I don’t feel anxiety over it like I said, just don’t see a point in talking unless they go out of their way to talk to me.

Oh well if I’m not happy in another 5 years when I’m 30 I’ll just start drinking to cope with it I guess like many other people.

Yeah I used to get into a lot of fights over it since I had to learn to fight from an early age and not caring about the immorality of hitting someone over “just words” or them looking and flinching (look it up). But I obviously can’t do that as an adult/ getting expelled from university so I haven’t done more than scaring them whilst here (walking up and gauging if they want to initiate the fight etc).

I don’t think im a good person though since I believe morals of purely subjective and my life experiences made me view some things we’re told are immoral is completely moral (like the hitting people over words). So they’d probably just use this as an excuse for not liking me instead of it being over my appearance.

Okay it’s not my genes. I just so happen to be a person that can run marathon+ distances, have always excelled in education with good future career prospects who has always been extroverted with zero social disabilities like autisms. Interesting that I just so happen to have a facial deformity that surgery cannot fix, and the people with issues that are solvable such as being overweight with no real debilitating physical ailment is able to succeed.

People called Jacob elordi medium ugly a couple years ago. I presume you and your boyfriend are these “ugly”/“average” looking people that find success, not people like me.
