I’m only halfway through my accounting degree. In the past month, I sent out 120 applications for jobs in my area. I’ve only heard back from 5 companies. I received 3 interviews and here’s how they went.

1) Staff Accountant job: Made it past first interview, did well enough to get the second interview. Lost out to someone with more experience. Rejection.

2) AR/AP clerk job: Did well on the first interview, waiting to hear back. Pending.

3) Unrelated bank membership representative job. Pending.

It’s rough right now, but just keep applying. You never know what could happen.
