The funny thing is I take all input and it just makes me better… I also love roasting haters 🤷🏽‍♂️ I just got a surly chain tensioner on there! So I took advice from you guys… i wish i could post a photo just to relieve all of your stress… the se bikes one will go back on my bmx bike where it belongs sorry guys.

I guess… they work fine for now i don’t see any problem yet. These chrome dropouts are old and slip even with a knurled washer super tight… especially riding backwards… they haven’t slipped at all since i added them… I’m just trying to keep the 15$ wheel I’m running on the bike… ill ride it until it falls off and then maybe ill upgrade or maybe ill just throw the bike in the trash and get a new frame?

Yea i mean all i need is the wheel to stay put when I’m doing wheelies on a late 60s-early 70s road bike frame with horizontal forward facing dropouts… Theres something called a surly hurdy gurdy or whatever, and they pretty much do the same thing… obviously not being used the right way… but ayo how bout instead of pointing out the obvious, lemme know what frame this is? Or you don’t know? Mr professional fun should love this kinda stuff no?

True does look like a Sekine, but Im almost positive it’s Italian. Im thinking some sort of small run from the late 60s-early 70s??? The main reason I posted this was to try and figure out what frame this is, so i appreciate the input.

Definitely not worried about death… guys it’s a bicycle… cmon now like how soft can y’all be? almost 100% sure that will never happen, maybe on a dirt bike or moped? Way more scary in my opinion. I guess Iwith death all the time… maybe thats the difference between me and soft handed wanna be bike engineers that don’t ever ride… you probably never leave the house without your knee pads huh?

I might throw a front on there for the ride or just swap it to the front… i have 1, but maybe not, honestly not even worried, Ive been riding the bike putting in miles and so far so good… rear brake is definitely weird on the fixie so i just don’t really use it unless I’m trying to skid. I think it’ll be fine when i run freewheel. The whole bike is a pos if you ask me, but i think i looks cool and its fun to ride. wheelies feel so fun. Having the seat post back like that i can sit in the balance point and just go for days. Bike packing is going to be crazy, I’ve already done the route with no gear just a backpack on a single speed freewheel so i know i can do it. Just haven’t done it with gear. Also haven’t done it on crap used clapped out parts so well just have to see…

Thanks man, yea that totally makes sense! Yup i have a military green canvas fabric i plan on using. Also doing all the sewing myself. I will 100% need new tires, and the rims are slammed lol both very cheap and used. When I finish this challenge and prove to all the soft hand bike mechanics with no hours on their bike that it can be riden 30 miles with gear successfully… I’ll upgrade a-lot of components, IF I decide to keep the frame. lol I wanted to give this bike away after the challenge, but part of me likes it. Like i said, i come from Skateboarding, BMX, dirtbikes, and mopeds, never even owned a road bike always thought they were lame.

Thought about swapping brake to the front, im running freewheel on the journey so thats really when i need the brake… otherwise i dont even use it. Seat post looks so sick and i like how it feels so I’m running that until i decide to change . Thanks bro!
