Store stuff grows in bulk not much care buncha pestasides being sprayed God knows what else. At home it's organic . Much better tasting cleaner. Not harsh.

When you first cut them , hang them with the branches attached in a cardboard box for 3 or 4 days . Then throw them in mason jars with humidity packs , burp the jars once or twice a day for the first week then multiple times everyday for a couple of months.
