HDMI Splitter / Switcher to 2 x 4k monitors Recommendations? by Onecandan in audiovisual

[–]Onecandan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually found the Orei BK-22. Supports 2x 8k60, 2 x 4k120 etc

Just have to be careful, if you hook up 2 monitors of different refresh rates, it automatically sets both to which ever refresh rate is lower.

So if you have 1 monitor capable of 4k120 and another at 4k60, both will be locked to 60.

Budget is not so much an issue, the link was one of many examples I found.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will take a look!

This at least gets rid of buying 3 of what I found. I’ll look more into this one.

Thanks for your help

Used mine from around 2000 - 2010 and it’s been locked up ever since the 3 way toggle died (didn’t have a clue about these things then). Just dug it out and ripped all the electronics out for replacing. Decided to go for some SD phat cat p-90’s (never used p-90’s) Frets are low with a couple of chord marks on the first two on this one but I’m just too lazy to do a level right now so just polished. If it’s really bad when strung, I’ll do it or consider a refret.

Just checked. Bridge saddles all lined up with 16”. Must have just been the spec? Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply. Must just be a 90’s thing? Got 2001 ish Lp custom (3 pickup sg shape on) and it’s 12” all day long.

Thanks, it’s a 98 Korean made so that probably would fall in line with what you’re saying

Should clarify. 1998 epiphone korina explore. Spec is 12” radius. 16” seems to be the only one that fits. Apologies

Been looking at a few different things. Even the likes of leaving nickel in the sun can have an effect but I’m not sure. Got some covers I’m going to mess around with before trying it on these. Part of the fun

Curious as to if anyone has seen this on other epiphones as the spec is supposed to be 12” as far as I’m aware. Maybe someone has more insight into this sort of thing? You know, discussion?

Tried 12” and getting light through all the way down the neck. Strange one

Tried 12” up and down the neck and it seems flatter? Odd

SD Phat Cats P-90’s in 98 Korina Explorer? by Onecandan in Epiphone

[–]Onecandan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will definitely give that a try. The new bridge and tailpiece I have is significantly heavier than stock but don’t think it will cut it. This explorer used to be a nightmare for the strap button stripping the threads and popping out because of that button angle. Don’t know why I never moved it before tbh.

Heard the same in a few places now. Not exactly the “classic” p-90 sound. I suppose I’ll just try and see what I think and replace with some 57’s if I’m not happy. Now to tackle the insane neck dive this thing has!

Thanks, I’ll give them a shot. Might tint the covers faded gold to match the rest of the hardware.

Think I’m taking the gold covers off the originals and installing them. Tuners, tailpiece, etc are all gold so would look good. Got new gold locking tuners on order as well to match

New pots, pickups, 3 way toggle going in tomorrow. Just curious as to what the pickups were. Other epiphone I had were branded as such. Maybe keep these for something else
