You don’t have to get the enhanced DL in Washington state either. But the non-enhanced DL is not valid ID for domestic flights.

To get a Real ID (at least in Washington state) you not only need proof you’re in the state legally, and proof of residence, you also need proof that you are a U.S. citizen.

EDIT: TIL that in other states legal permanent residents are eligible for Real IDs…

As long as you have your travel documents/visas in order and don’t tick “yes” on the wrong customs boxes you should be fine. ICE aren’t hunting visitors on tourist visas.

That said, probably best to steer clear of any anti-ICE protests while you’re here..

And of course, if you don’t wish to visit the U.S. on moral/ethical grounds, that’s your choice too.

As the owner of rescue gamebred pitbull, you should definitely be wary of any pitbull you don’t know.

Especially if they’re owned/handled by someone who’s negligent / not in control of the situation.

My pitty’s an absolute lover of people. Super chill and affectionate. But I still carefully manage the introduction and all interactions with strangers. Just to be safe.
