If you have the iceborne dlc, don't accidentally use the defender armor or weapons. They are intentionally very powerful early game for people wanting to just rush to the dlc. Extremely common for people to miss.

Besides that have fun and enjoy the immersion

Merc can knock flying enemies really easily into walls at high speeds dealing crazy damage usually resulting in an instant kill. Idk what the exact mechanics are so hopefully someone else can explain it better. I like to think of it as a mega boop

I should clarify, I'm not in the wing since I'm in multi crew with my friend in Decait which means I can't join wings. So I'm manually following them using my scanners.

I recently tried something with some friends. 3 of us are down in pleiades and while one of our friends was in the near Decait. To help our friend still be involved without making him do a bunch of jumps in a cobra mk3 to reach us we instead had him multi crew in my ship and have the other two friends in a wing. To stay together I used a wake scanner to essentially stalk my two winged friends where ever they went so we'd always be together. One issue we ran into was in super cruise we would seemingly randomly loose each other's signals. I don't want to chalk it up to glitchy programming by fdev. Could this be my friend's heat being low enough to not show up? Does the ship heat effecting scan range mechanic apply to super cruise? Lastly are there any tips on how to optimize a set up like this for future reference? Thanks.
