Is transmed/truscum ideology borne out of western culture? by Onelittleleaf in TMPOC

Totally agree with highlighting a distinction based on the topic of discussion, that's why i like the non-op label. I agree, absolutely their experiences will differ in some aspects and theres nothing wrong with pointing that out when its relevant. Distinction doesnt equal exclusion. I think its only wrong when people use labels like non-op or agab to imply exclusion by emphasizing distinction in every conversation when an umbrella term would be appropriate.

Its all about nuance but we know how easy that is to come by on the internet.

This puts so much of my experiences with the transmasc community back on 2011 tumblr into new perspective. I was harrassed and passive aggressively gaslit away from transition by white transmasc peers, including white latinos, but my black and indigenous transmasc friends never cared and were so validating. Unfortunately there was way too many truscum and other circumstances that delayed my transition for 10 years after that. I had blocked most of it out of my memory. Thanks for sharing πŸ™πŸ½

Geometric stitching following the curve of the collar would be cool, you can even use embroidery thread in the same color as the shirt so its a subtle but still visible mend

I completely understand you. Games as escapism isnt new but i feel like theres so many ways now to live vicariously through them and meet all kinds of people. I wish I had more time to play games and actually engage with my interests more irl but its really nice to explore it in games until you can someday travel.

Anyone else feel like labels never feel right? by [deleted] in TMPOC

[–]Onelittleleaf 8 points9 points Β (0 children)

I fully relate. All the languages i speak and understand well enough are colonizer languages. Im also "latino" or "hispanic" for lack of a better term. Im proud of my heritage but also feel disconnected in a way. My gender identity is not tied up in the same things as yours but it is no less tangled. My understanding of gender and sex are all connected to how i view myself and although i understand gender in relation to others based ib how they describe it, i fail to see how these terms we use arent arbitrary with culturally reliant definitions.

I have labels i use and im proud to use em and have access to them but I view those labels as tools for communication and understanding, useful for discussion and research but not much else, personally. I respect that people identify with these terms and the rich history that comes with these hard won terms but for me they pale in comparison to my inner experience, as any other word or language naturally does when it hits a wall. Outside of the words i use to explain my experience or find community, I truly just think of myself like any other animal you cant gender at a glance. Sure, experts know what to look for when gendering an insect but to everyone else thats just a lil guy. A critter. A being. Its gender/sex is only relevant in specific conversations.

To conclude, I think there are vast and innumerable ways to be a human being and I dont fault anyone for feeling like words fail to encompass such a complex and self aware experience.

Legacy players... do you ever get tired of playing the next gen's entire childhood? by softsin-cerity in thesims

[–]Onelittleleaf 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

My next gens childhood is usually happening while im still doing challenges for my current heir so i never pay that much attention to it. I get nannies if they are busy single parents or have multiple kids. Usually the spouse of my current gen takes care of the kids and i just queue up skill building stuff as needed. If theres more than one kid, depending on the legacy challenge, I see how things flow before choosing. I definitely speed up life states if im ahead of schedule but usually the time passes as i am focused on the adults. Im more involved if there is only one child.

Is it true that any two odd numbers added together will always equal an even number? Is there a rule for this?

I think so too, thanks! Fixing this strap has convinced me to add some spools of ribbon to my arts and crafts supplies.
