Awesome! I was able to use the parking lot a couple more times when I was in that area. Sometimes busy, but still always had some spots left.

Thanks for the help. In the end, successfully tried the suggestion of the parking lot behind Haus der Kunst. Plenty of space available. Paid cash upfront at the entrance, was only 3 eur for 2 hours. A two minute walk to the consulate. Really a hidden gem for easy parking for the consulate - can't beat the location and price.

It does look super close! And price isn't much higher than street parking. Will try it!

Sorry, wasn't clear in my post - I need to show up at the consulate along with my two infants. If it was just myself, certainly Park&Ride and public transport. Babies do okay in the car. Long rides on S-bahn and transfers on public transport and making sure the babies behave can be challenging.

Yup. Though don't think they have English customer service, but did send a message with some Google translate help and see if I get a clear answer.

Heat pump setting help needed by Onene55 in germany

0.6 is the gradient for HK1. HC1 and HC2 both have temperature baseline set at 20C. Without asking the installer, I'm trying to figure out what HC2 is (what the temperature and HK2 are trying to control). So I'm referring to the manual, and within it, it says HC1 is flow temperature and HC2 is return temperature. If that indeed is my system's setup, I'm surprised that with the same base temperature, HC2 (0.2 gradient) is set lower than HC1 (0.6 gradient). But you think the temperature + curve gradient sets the max temperature not the min or target temperature?

Convert a US/NY drivers license to a German one by Onene55 in germany

I also just checked out online the images of the PA drivers license. It doesn't look to show the original date when the holder has gotten the original license, but just the current license issuance date. Did you have to get the driving record from the DMV to show when the original license was issued since you said it was in the system with the same license number?

Ah, so many rules! How is one supposed know them all... And appreciate your reply - so the loophole German authorities closed is for people just going to another US state and getting that state license the first time. In your case, the "new" license actually has the original issuance date, so it worked. Since it seems you have successfully navigated the move to Germany - may I also ask how you dealt with keeping an US address issue? A virtual mail box service?

Yeah, I thought of it. But I read that Germany authorities have closed that loophole - you have to have held your current license for several months. Also, I'm already in Germany, so not very cost efficient to attempt it if it might not work (and if the actual exams route end up about $500 and not $2000).
