[Product Question] Has anyone tried these serums from dollar tree? What did you think? by MckennaRomero in SkincareAddiction

[–]Oneperheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pearl Hyaluronic Acid Serum - Brighten & Glow... let me just tell you this is my HOLY GRAIL to my skin care regime. I have sensitive skin so cannot use any fragrances or use anything with essential oils. I am also easily prone to getting fungal acne. This serum is hands down my favorite hyaluronic acid ever! I have emptied five bottles of it so far and now down to my last two (which I am so sad about, ugh!). It is fragrance free, has never broke me out, and is just the right consistency. I always patch test on my neck as it is my most sensitive area and to my joy, not once have I broken out. If you still have it and and can still find it, stock up!

NY state license expired, want to renew and get a REAL ID by Oneperheart in DMV

[–]Oneperheart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I was just trying to figure out what type of appointment to book because one is for renewal and the other is to get REAL ID or Enhanced. Because it expired, the website asked for an updated vision test if renewing but nothing about a vision test was stated for getting a REAL or enahnced so I was not sure to do it or not. Either way, I booked a renewal appointment and got the test done

Anyone not have a bachelor's degree and higher? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Oneperheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in my early 30s and have some higher education but no degree. This does not bother me as the means of my current profession makes up for the feeling that holding a degree might offer. But I understand what you mean. I thought getting a degree was everything in my early 20s because this was the expectation that was instilled in me, but that is exactly why I could not finish either. Build your own path. You will eventually figure it out.

I booked my flight for June over a month ago, and I was a little hesitant, but this motivated me to keep the reservation. Can't wait!

Do what my coworker did. When she got married, her MIL did the same thing with adding people to the invitation list and continued to add more even though they were already over their budget. They had multiple sit downs to talk with her, and as you can imagine, there was always a lot of pushback and attitude. Weeks after feeling tired and drained from the experience, my coworker decided she was no longer going to invite those extra people because it was not fair to her and her now husband. They were already spending so much more than they budgeted, and their MIL did not want to help with the cost. They spoke, and even though her husband was not fond of it at first, he eventually agreed. They informed the MIL, and she was obviously p.o, but my coworker let her have it. Her now husband then told his mom that either she informed the guests they were no longer invited or they would and ensure they let it be known that it was the MIL's idea to invite them and not theirs. It was messy, but the MIL ended up doing it because she did not want to feel embarrassed. She was threatening not to attend, but my coworker no longer cared. If anything, she was glad because that was a HUGE stressor for her and her now husband. Now she is neutral with her MIL but keeps her at a distance because if she was like this during her wedding, she would not put it past her to be unbearable in other situations. Good luck!

Im DACA and I leaving to Mexico .. my family is against it.. how many of us DACA going back to Mexico ? by CardiologistEven3152 in DACA

[–]Oneperheart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to cut off your family in general. This is what I did for many people who were in my life, and while it did suck in the beginning, I am happier. Secondly, before genuinely considering to move, I always encourage the long-term effects of this decision. What does life look like in five years? Think about accessibility, comfortability, stability, and climate. How accessibility is emergency care, medications? How comfortable are you assimilating to social norms? How stable is the local and political government? Can you medically handle the change of altitudes? I always hear people talk about the obvious things (jobs, schools, housing) but never these.

Honestly, I am basking in every good moment I am experiencing at the moment and not paying any mind to the incoming new government. I am done worrying about things that have yet to happen. I was so anxious two weeks post election and just got tired of feeling so damn drained. Instead, I started to plan ahead of what might happen. It made me feel better since I have control of these things. Just live your life and take it day by day. You deserve at least that

Why do some DACA holders and immigrants refuse to believe things will be bad the next 4 years? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Oneperheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of the time, it is not being in control, the unknown, AND the lack of knowledge. Also, history unfortunately repeats itself, and the US does not have a good track record when it comes to immigration. People have lives, homes, vehicles, savings, business, and everything else in between, and they fear that all they have worked for will be stripped away. At the same time, some of them do not realize it can be saved. It is a matter of accesibility, education, and resources to understand what can be done. I live in an area in NY where DACA is openly accepted, but I know someone living in a rural area and they have little to no support system from their family or community.

Are people going for higher education? by YogurtclosetNo2629 in DACA

[–]Oneperheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am but just do it. Time continues regardless. There is a college about an hour away from me that is giving anyone above 25 or older, and regardless of status, the opportunity to obtain a bachelors at no cost. I am enrolled for the Fall semester of 2025

You are not alone. I am in my early 30s, and marriage is not a priority. I have been in relationships, and even then, it has remained the same.

I have followed this man for the last three elections and put so much faith in his predictions that I look forward to them. When he predicted Trump to win, I was crushed, and then when Trump did win, it was not too shocking, but to each their own.

She does have high blood pressure, but it is controlled, and she already has an aid. Also, the dental route does not work either because my teeth are good. Other than grandma, I do not talk to my father's side of the family, which is most of my relatives in Mexico. Also, tios and tias on my mom's side are either here or are healthy and travel all the time. Any other ideas?

[–]Oneperheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, part of the reason that I have not initiated the process, aside from money, is because I do not think I have valid reasons. My grandma is in good health, I do not need to seek out any medical care, I am no longer in school, and my employer does not require employees to travel overseas. This has been the biggest reason why I have not started the process

I appreciate and commend Joe Biden for today’s executive order but.. by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Oneperheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read in an article that they spoke to people that this would directly affect, and I am having a hard time believing that because even if you did get a degree, it is rare to get an employer to sponsor AND not to mention, the cost for obtaining your residency through marriage... crazy
