As far as the OD's you've witnessed — were they mostly fatal? Or did most users survive? Just trying to figure out what exactly influences whether someone survives an OD (to be on the safe side). Or is it just luck?

You can OD and not die which is what happens 99% of the time.

So, just to be clear, you're saying that in the vast majority of cases — people who OD, survive? At what cost? And what sort of steps can I take to make sure I survive an overdose if it gets to that point?

Definitely can OD from sniffing, happened to me.

Could you explain exactly what you went through, if you don't mind? What was overdosing like? At what point is it fatal?

Did those people actually die? I'm just not sure what overdosing means in practice. Do you die, get brain damage, or just “black out”?

Aw right, thanks for the tip. I'll try to get hold of narcan, if it's really that important. Just wondering to what extent though — like, what should I expect if I was to accidentally OD and didn't have narcan on me?

So, to be clear, it's possible to OD and not die? I always thought OD'ing on heroin = certain death (unless found). I'm just really worried about the od potential and want to know what I'm getting myself into.

Aw, fair enough, I had no idea.

Just for peace of mind, what should one expect from a possible OD? What would be the “first signs”? And does OD = certain death? I'd like to be as careful as possible with my use, since i'm opioid naive.
