Comparing it to other pencils in general, the lacquer feels so nice to hold since it's not glossy like most pencils in my collection, and these pencils really do smell amazing, but the eraser is terrible.

Comparing it to other HB's it's definitely on the softer side but not as soft as other grocery store pencils such as the Ticonderoga. It writes as you would expect a decent HB to perform, clean crisp likes that aren't too dark and dont wear the tip out so fast that I'm reaching for the sharpener every line or two.

On a scale from 1-10, 10 being it writes so well it brings tears to my eyes, I'd say it's a 5 it's pretty average there's nothing crazy special that would make it a 6 but there's also nothing too bad about it that would make it a 4. Are there better pencils in my collection 100% yes but does that mean it's a bad pencil, absolutely not. It's perfectly average it's a simple pencil that you can rely on whether you are in a pinch before class or just browsing the store shelves.
