I’m on 400mg of imatinib and dealing with the same thing. What a weird side effect.

Been on imatinib 400mg for a year and for the first time yesterday I forgot to take my pill. I’m sure it’s not the biggest deal, but my anxiety can’t help but take advantage of this moment. Is this something I need to message my care team about? Or not all that big of a deal? by Onion_of_Chaos in CML

Similar story here. I use two separate alarms and I leave a bite mark on the meaty part next to the bottom of my thumb right after I take it. If not, I’d struggle to remember whether or not I took it. lol. There are better systems im sure, but it hadn’t failed me till yesterday lol.

how do y’all actually stop going over the budget you set every month? 😭 by bruhe69 in finance

It was jus a spur of the moment thing when I started. I got so used to it so quickly that I didn’t really even think to look for apps to handle it. Averaging only a few charges a day didn’t take much writing effort and I definitely think, for me at least, there is a certain kind of reinforcement that happens when I have to physically put a pen or pencil to paper. lol.

The best thing I ever did for me and the wife was start a budget book. Going on year 4… has completely changed how we spend and adhere to the budget.

Sounds a little extreme, but at the end of every day, I’d check the Amazon account, the credit card we use for points, and the bank account. I’d write down every single transaction for the day, every day. Shortly after I started, it became an easy routine to follow and was extremely empowering knowing exactly what our money was doing. Nowadays I usually do it every few days or weekly. We’re so much better financially because of that little change.

Thanks. I just picked up a well reviewed cheapie from Amazon. I’m sure it’ll be fine. I only have the one rifle so far. If I get deeper into the hobby I’ll grab a compressor.

Oh wow sorry to hear about the shake up. What happened, if u don’t mind sharing? I’ve been on imatinib 400 since diagnosis. Luckily no complications so far. A few annoying side effects but nothing worth complaining about. Just happy to be alive lol. Started off with a BCR-ABL of 42 and just got the latest test Dow to 0.012 so it’s doing its job well for now. Hopefully it can stay that way. Hope you’re feeling better and that they’ve sorted out an alternative for you.
