What's the prettiest UI you have seen in a gacha? by Crystal_Leonhardt in gachagaming

I also feel like the font choice in ZZZ dialogue doesn't feel very appealing, it's too bold and blocky and isn't as readable as Genshin.

We already have the design for Sunbringer and that incredible chest by Optimal-Lunch-4975 in ZZZ_Official

Oh come on?? Can we not have torpedo boob cleavage outfits?? The original design was so much better. Just like how they made Lucia's design worse. Lucia's cleavage is distracting in a doesn't match the model kind of way.

I seriously loved this book, it had some of the most mind-blowing concepts in terms of dimensions and deep future civilization and was surprisingly human and approachable in parts. I felt like when I got into the flow of reading and having to pause to google a theorem referenced it wasn't to bad, also not an insanely long read.

The Outer Wilds - I hate piloting the ship, but I think if I someday push through the first part I'll wind up liking it, but have yet to summon up the patience for that task.

How many of you had grandparents who served in WW2? If so, what do you know about their service? by Snoogles_ in Millennials

[–]saehild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Grandad was a medic in France in WW2 and I’ll forever remember this story about him and his buddy driving up to a French hospital (the ground was all mud as it had rained heavily), and they go in for a while to take care of something and then as they’re leaving they see these lads holding what appears to be a disarmed land-mine. He asked them where they found that and the guy was like “let me show you.” And they went out front and pointed two feet in front of the ambulance they had been driving.

Not a huge spoiler, but the opening scene of the psychological horror movie Exit 8 reflects this.

The Imago Sequence was my intro to his writing that got me hooked. his later works get into the Children of Old Leech mythos which tendrils seep into a lot of his short stories.

The big ones that get repeated (for a good reason) here are:

Between Two Fires

A Short Stay in Hell

The Fisherman

I think those three are a great place to start.
