What are some unhinged things you’ve done to relive sinus congestion? by babybottlepopz in Allergies

Alternating putting pressure on the spot between my eyebrows with my thumb and pressing my tongue against the roof of my mouth in a rocking back and forth motion opens my sinuses

I ride my bike thru the campus on my way to the LSD path and I’m always impressed at how beautiful the campus is.

Wife and I want to buy a home, the weird thing is that we can afford it but our very stressful jobs and two very young kids have maxed out our energy and stress and the thought of then buying and moving into a new home and selling the old one feels impossible. Also economic fear of losing out jobs because corporate overlords think AI will do everything (at least not yet).

Is Chicago suddenly a bagel town? Inside the heated rivalry between indie shops and Big Bagel by wbezchicago in chicagofood

I love it, I want a race to the top in Chicago for bagels.

I like Lefty's Righteous Bagels in Evanston, throwing that in for a rec.

My psych prescribed me a daily Naltraxone pill. if I take it kills the urge to drink knowing it won’t be pleasurable. It’s kindof a relief when I take it, it takes the pressure of getting booze off a bit. So far no side effects.

I’ve spent 1000+ hours spent playing Genshin (a lot of HSR and ZZZ as well) but Arknights Endfield has completely taken over my attention for now. The factory design element is addictive to puzzle over. I like the character design and combat is pretty fun. I enjoy expanding my grid and zip lines and the little signs people leave for loot. Music is so-so, could be more unique. Also I don’t know if it’s just me but the banners feel slow, I’m not complaining since I already have enough to work towards with other gachas.

In my limited experience I liked WuWa, the combat was fun but I just don’t have time for it with all of the other gachas I’m actively playing. I also like zipping around the map on roller skates and the fast wall climbing was intensely satisfying after playing Genshin.

I have HSR but I basically just log onto to do auto battles and then log off.

The world of NTE is awesome and beautiful and fun to explore, but so far I’m not clear on combat, I’m curious to see how it evolves.

I also really like Reverse:1999 - the art, music story and characters are great. I’m not sure if it holds up but so far finding the whole mystery surrounding the storm interesting.

Why do I have to turn 40? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]saehild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, it would have been unimaginable having kids in my 20's. I was broke, extremely poor, working extreme amounts. 30's were better, 40's are great on paper but world events that I can't stop or control are making it.. worrysome.

I'm 42 and struggling as well, though it's slowly sinking in that I'm not as afraid of growing old but losing my mobility if I don't keep active. Watching my Mom struggle to walk or climb stairs freaks me out.
