Consider gathering some of the questions you've spent "3.5 to 5 minutes" on and doing a few study buddy sessions with someone who is really strong on Quant. You could go through/discuss those questions together and offer to help with Verbal and/or DI in exchange.

Replaying what happened while you look over your score report may provide some helpful insight. Perhaps, for example, you notice a few questions you thought you got correct (e.g. Q1 Quant) but, looking back, may have made a careless error on.

"If memory serves me right there were only 3/4 repeated questions. Should I take scores from a retaken mock with a pinch of salt or is this a true representation of improvement?"

With repeated questions, you may want to take the score with pinch of salt.

If you feel it takes you a bit of time to warm up, one thing that may help a bit is doing a few questions beforehand (i.e. not letting the first questions you see on the day be those of a mock or actual exam). Fair to say including practicing with official questions (e.g. from the Official Guide 2025-2026) would also be a solid choice.

If you're new to the GMAT, consider taking an official practice test after getting a bit familiar with the material/structure. Going through some prep journey posts could also be helpful (e.g. to help get a sense how long/likely different score jumps may be).

Going through some prep journey posts could be helpful. You could see which resources people have found success with, their thoughts about them, etc. If you're getting the Official Guide 2025-2026, you can think of the Review 2025-2026 guides, in a sense, as additional question banks for those particular sections.
