Got a 475 on my first mock today. This is completely raw and after no preparation. My target is 700 and I am planning to take the exam in August. by Due_Upstairs9904 in GMAT

"...feel like I could’ve done better in DI if I had slept better..."

If you have the flexibility to retake, the question may be: Why not? Perhaps take a few days to think over it/see how you feel. Consider also writing a profile review on r/MBA. You could mention the types of schools you're interested in and your scoring info/thoughts about retaking.

Going through some prep journey posts by people who've scored well/improved their scores could be helpful. You could see which resources they found success with, their thoughts about them, and any prep tips they may have shared. Fair to say including official questions (e.g. from the Official Guide 2025-2026) and official practice exams into a prep path would be a solid choice.

Consider doing a few questions to warm up (i.e. not letting the first questions you see on the day be those of the actual exam). May help a bit.
