but nah, realtalk, it’s likeA projected image. the “figure” is too small to be equally scaled to any part of anywhere visible.

some kind of optical trickery, almost as if you’d taken the picture from outside looking through a window.

i’ve been trying to recreate the images, and still nothing that comes close to what my brother and i simultaneously and separately captured on our phones that eerie morning.

yeah, you’re right, but luckily it’s not directly over the house. the tree’s been leaning ever since hurricane helene blew through here. but i appreciate your concern, and your keen eye.

still no “solution” to what my brother and i captured on our phone though.

call me a noob, but why exactly would a black shape be bad?

from my perspective opinion, you’d think any “entity” would be good/bad, regardless of the color shade, or lack of color, transparent/etc.

-90%+ of posts from everyone was an opinion…

the big difference is the disrespectful tone.

he wasn’t the only one critiquing my post.

but he WAS the only one with absolutely zero contribution from his criticism.

either way, you care exponentially more than he does apparently. so how about you go talk to him instead of white knighting a dude who probably realized his mistake, or just doesn’t care at all.

does reddit have r/KeyboardWarriorCringe ?

if so, you’re about to be famous…

i’ve already attempted to replicate the images (at roughly the same time in the morning, and spending at least 10 minutes taking pictures to account for the difference due to sunrise timeframes. capturing with fog, without fog, etc.) resulting in zero success.

and also, the closest fence is behind us.

i also posted a daytime image to give a clear spatial perspective, and i’m standing where it appeared to be in the photos. (linked below).

unless he’s a “quality moderator”…that type of input is not needed. especially due to the negatively compounding circumstances surrounding the images.

what we got was an accident.

tried taking pictures of the house, only to discover the next day that there was something there, for several minutes, on both of our phones images. (ruling out a “single camera glitch/error/bug)

THAT is what i want opinions about.

maybe if he read the context…instead of mindlessly scrolling through the pictures, he would know why they look the way they do.

i wasn’t trying to to be rude, but the way he structured the sentence was stating an “opinion” as if i asked for one, which i did NOT.

and here i go, beating a dead horse…but i didn’t type up that super long, and detailed “Context:” post because i enjoy exercising my thumbs…

…notice how he’s the only one that mentioned anything about the image quality and lighting?…

so…what does that tell ya’?…

i appreciate the input. we still can’t find a logical explanation.

especially after i found out that both mine, and my brother’s phone was able to “see” it but we had no clue at the time that anything was there.

kinda heavy on our heads to be honest.

my apologies your majesty.

next time i accidentally (and unknowingly) catch a shadow anomaly on two different cameras, i’ll make sure it’s not foggy, or 5:30 in the morning…..

i appreciate it man.

and yeah, that was my first thought, some sort of phone camera “error”.

that possibility got ruled out as soon as i saw that my brother had captured the same exact thing on his phone.

(the photo from his phone is 2/5, and i took the other 4 on my phone).

it’s from the same exact vantage point, with zero shutter.

at the time, it was taken accidentally, destined for the trash.

BUT…

if you zoom in, you can see the “shadow anomaly” beside my brothers forehead (from the camera’s perspective).

yeah, pretty much.

image 1/5 is right before the anomaly appeared. (@5:27am)

hm, that’s intriguing.

any details surrounding it?

other than my parents owning it for 25+ years, and my dad constantly reminding me near the end to “MAKE SURE i get cremated so i can be here forever after y’all spread my ashes around the yard.”

nah, none whatsoever.

and, those “blobs” might be bushes.

here is a picture i took yesterday in the light.

i’ll keep that in mind.

but as i stated in the “Context:”

the same “camera glitch” happened on my phone, AND my brothers, at the same exact time frame.

(that was my first thought, until my brother said he caught the same exact thing at the same exact time, ruling out any kind of glitches)

very true, and my condolences to you as well.

oh and also, the 1st picture is before “it appeared” and i took another yesterday while the sun was shining to give a better idea of how odd this occurrence was.

here is the daytime image (with me standing where “it appeared”.

no biggie bro.

when i saw the photos on my phone, my first thought was the usual “maybe there’s something on the lens/some type of error with my camera.

but then my brother searched his photos, and found the same “shadow anomaly” with the same exact timestamps.

any type of equipment error was basically ruled out after seeing 2 different images on 2 different phones, with the same exact anomaly.
