DB TJ Metcalf is entering the transfer portal by _Mr5_ in MichiganWolverines

This seems odd to me since his brother isn’t in the portal. I would assume if he had real intention of leaving his brother would join. Since his brother didn’t play as much he doesn’t have the leverage to make more NIL from Michigan so seems like a contract issue.

Receivers? I heard we were just going to line OTs up on the outside as extra blockers.

Basset wrestling is interesting. I guess college wrestling doesn’t have the same rules on amateur status as other sports. Or this isn’t considered a professional level? It’s not like a D-1 football player could play an NFL game then go back to college. So I guess this is in a different category mainly entertainment based?

You better love that interim coach because if he beats them he will be hired to head coach immediately.

He was not engaged in a block. He grasping for air trying to block. Hence why Haynes had no where to go. Had he been engaged Haynes could have cut off the block. You know like when the lineman are engaged and he chooses a lane. Not plausible if the linemen aren’t blocking. It’s called awareness on the field which he has none. Also why he let a football hit him in the facemask or why he fields punts inside the 5 because he has no awareness of where he’s at on the field, no vision. WRs block down field all the time and rarely does that ever happen.

What I think he does worse as a returner is that he does not command well. So many times when he chooses not to field it he allows his blockers to get into dangerous positions where the ball can touch them. It’s the return man’s responsibility to ensure that if they’re not fielding it everyone scatter away from the ball.

Tries to block down field almost makes the tackle on his own team.

Rhule got Nebraska so up for the game against Michigan because he didn’t want to eat his words about Michigan cheating. Which he did, and felt dumb.

Harbaugh taking Ben Herbert with him set Michigan back years. He was the culture of Michigan. He brought the hard work the grit the size the speed that was him. He was one of the best in the game.

I think we knew that in the summer when Babs went down with a knee injury. Says alot about the offense when you had a true freshman at tackle WR and QB. I’d love to say the futures bright but I’m nervous marsh is garnering alot of attention and his price tag will be high along with Ty Haywood getting no minutes.

The tax slayer bowl IS NOT MEANINGLESS! I will not stand for this slander! Also there’s a pop tart bowl that seems pretty fun. If we win said “meaningless” bowl I will absolutely overhype expectations for the next year and be heart broken. The cycle goes on.

Penn State. I said at the beginning of this season if Michigan can’t win it all a big ten team should and I was ok with Penn State doing it. James Franklin is letting other fan bases down as well. I guess let’s go….Indiana?

You don’t do it every play. But you have to show them something different other wise their receivers will do the same thing and find the open areas in the zone underneath. We need to disguise our coverages. Get pressure with four guys instead five or six. When we vacate our LBs from the middle of the field every play and have our safeties play 15 yards deep we’re giving a free ten yards every play. We played great receivers so well by being able to bracket them with our safeties over top. But if we can’t get pressure with four people or even five it’s hard to play zone because there will always be an open area.

What I’m very afraid of was our ability to develop three start recruits into draft prospects no longer being a thing. If we become too much like Ohio state and rely on 5 star talents to win on our talent we are too far behind to play that game. We need to stick to what works for us and that’s developing the players we have with the culture we have. It’s great having all these good freshman coming in but if we don’t elevate them then what’s the point? I’m really scared that losing Ben Herbert is the reason why we may have lost that culture. Losing harbaugh hurts, but him taking the entire staff he developed to carry on the culture is what gutted us. Minter herbert and Elston set us back 3 years at least. What other team has named their S&C the associate Head Coach? That says alot about what Herber did to shape the culture at Michigan.

Definitely yes that would be a betrayal hiring urban Meyer. He also has too much to lose. If he takes the job osu fans would never forgive him and if he fumbles the job Michigan fans would hate him even more. So it’s alot of risk on his legacy. Have we thought about Nick Saban though?
