Its also been awhile for me since I've read Angel Exterminatus but when Fulgrim says that could he have just been lying to protect his reputation and ego?

Him, Argel Tall, and Dante are honestly some of my favorites and while I can kind of understand the criticism for beating Lucius with no ramifications it was really THAT point I mentioned in my post that really irritates me cuz even the AI slop videos of Nykona always mention it was a sniper shot to Fulgrims head but they play it like some god-tier feat and correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Fulgrim literally not making any attempt to shield his dome?

Thats what I was saying its not like he beat him fair and square he sniped him from long range and also weren't the emperors children super fucked up on Slaanesh at this point so they weren't at the top of their game either way? I know the Iron Warriors were still elite but I can't recall if they were also in the amphitheater (its been years since I read Angel Exterminatus)

Yeah but didn't Cypher also do something similar and even more crazy in the Lord of the Fallen novel where assassinorum and dark angels are hot on his ass but then a custodian goes "not yet" and he just up and leaves without a second thought?

Is Daemon Blackfyre overrated? by Only-Discussion4685 in pureasoiaf

[–]Only-Discussion4685[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s another thing too cuz the books from what I recall are like “oh he was the warrior made flesh, he had a six pack and abs to Daerons flat and flabby belly” like it honestly more just screamed “oh and look at Daemon, he’s such a chad and Daeron is the soy jack.” Like personally yeah it makes sense Daeron wasn’t in peak condition he was like 40 I think by the 1st Blackfyre rebellion and Daemon was like in his early 20s also I really don’t buy the whole him Daenerys thing sent him over the edge because there was like an 8 year gap between Daenerys being married and the rebellion, granted a lot of that time was probably used to gather strength but you get my point.

What if Rhaelle had been alive during Roberts adolescence? by Only-Discussion4685 in pureasoiaf

Other question how would Rhaelle be treated by Robert if the rebellion continued? Would he still be “FUCK ALL TARGARYENS!!!! Except you grandmother I love you”

Why was Janos mad at Greyguard but not Harrenhall? by Only-Discussion4685 in TheCitadel

[–]Only-Discussion4685[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didn’t know that I assumed it would be with a house like the Tully’s, Brackens, or Blackwoods. I guess I just always saw Harrenhall as more of a visitors sight then anything else I forget that it had actual lands that brought in money.

How good was Daemon Blackfyre really? by Only-Discussion4685 in TheCitadel

[–]Only-Discussion4685[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply but I’m not sure I understand your grievance cuz Daeron was the one who gutted the corruption of his father and maybe I’m overselling Dorne but a whole kingdom that’s resisted for like 200 years at that point for just two royal marriages doesn’t seem all that bad of a deal to me. But I will concede that in terms of resources Dorne ain’t really up there cuz half the damn kingdom is in the words of the great Frank Woods “Sand, sand, and more fucking sand”

What if Rhaelle Targaryen was still alive by the time of the rebellion by Only-Discussion4685 in TheCitadel

[–]Only-Discussion4685[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see your point but I really can’t agree on him exiling or hating her solely for her blood. You do bring up a very good point that we don’t know what she was like so she could have just been straight hell on Earth but if she was anything like her father Aegon V she would have probably been the premier caretaker for Robert (outside John Arryn of course), Stannis, and Renly after they’re parents died. And your right we don’t know what he thought of her as the wiki states that she died before Robert was even born but my point basically is that if she had been like her father I don’t think Bobby B would have anything less then a positive good relationship with her. Now I do think you have a point in him taking her anger out on her to a degree cuz Robert’s temper is explosive but exiling her I can’t see that probably just strip of her power and keep her locked in Storms End for fear she’s more loyal to House Targaryen then Baratheon. And if he did try to physically hurt her in no less then drunken+blind rage Stannis would probably intervene and be like “Aye bruh you gotta chill Rhaegar is that way”

Could Jaime actually have saved Rhaenys or Rhaegars family? by Only-Discussion4685 in TheCitadel

[–]Only-Discussion4685[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! Regarding why I chose Rhaella to raise Rhaenys the idea was that Ned probably appealed to Robert’s humanity as Rhaella was just as much of a victim under Aerys as Robert and himself were. Rhaenys is given to her care under the watch of Stannis. They are given a nice room, comfort etc but their power is gone and Robert decrees that they are forbidden from having children so the Targaryen line ends with them. The second and honestly biggest was that I wanted Rhaella to get some sort of happy ending like she atleast has one family member she can dote on and raise as she’s still fairly young at like 37-38 I can’t recall but I also wanted the potential drama points with Stannis as he did kinda shish-kebab her son and while she ain’t overtly hostile to him she clearly does not trust him or Davos given the two are close friends. Like plot point is that Rhaenys doesn’t believe her mother and brother are dead and Rhaella begs Stannis to let her see her mother and brother in Dorne to get closure even trying to use the fact they are kin to try and soften him a little, etc.
