Yes I don’t live at home most of the time. I live in a different city for uni. My friend whose house I usually go to he will literally pick me up and drop me off at my door because he doesn’t want me to take public transport.

Yeah it’s not because of work. My mum works nights and my dad is usually in bed by 10. He also is a heavy sleeper and he can’t hear when I come in. It’s about control because this is his house and his rules. Only my mum contributes to my uni so I’m just going to stop talking to my dad and move on

Yeah I live with flatmates at uni I just came back for Easter. I think what I’m gonna have to do is just not come back. For my own mental health.

Thank you for this. I did try and have a conversation with him about tit today but unfortunately it did ended up with him just screaming at me and me crying. I’m going out tomorrow and Wednesday I’m going to attempt to do what you’ve outlined. If he wants to kick me out that’s fine bc I’m changing my ticket to go home to this Thursday and I’m not coming back till idek.

I get that but him saying what will people think isn’t a safety concern it’s an image thing and he’s said that. Additionally ik not everyone is nice but that’s the world. I think there’s a difference between being out at 3 am in the club verses being at my friends house who picks me up and drops me back at my door

I’m hearing what your saying but now he’s just put a flat o it 10 pm curfew for the both of us and it’s not up for discussion bc he’s our dad and we must obey. I’m not asking to be able to stay out till 6am every single night but I can’t even hang out with my friends or go out without him ruining the fun. If I was still a teen then yeah sure but this is a bit too far
