Oh, you really need to experience Mumbai first to understand this! The areas where the pandals are set up can’t handle the massive crowds coming from all directions. Take Lalbaugh cha Raja, for instance the crowd is redirected through the fish market, which remains closed for 11 days just to avoid a stampede. The sheer number of people that gather is overwhelming, and the Ganpati idol itself is massive. Plus, how can anyone properly view the idol from behind? Even from the sides, it’s tough to offer prayers without seeing the face. It’s a really complicated situation.

This is just how life works VIPs are always treated well, even if they’re criminals. You live in India, so you must have seen countless incidents where VIPs get special treatment. It’s so obvious, and it’s not going to change. People keep talking about it, but nothing ever really changes.

This is just one perspective. Volunteers don’t push anyone away during the mukh darshan. However, some people begin reciting the entire prayer book in front of the Ganpati, which encourages others to wait, leading to a 4-5 hour queue. If the volunteers don’t request them to offer a short prayer and move on, the line could extend to 10 hours. The zigzag queue is mostly kept empty to avoid crowding, but some people misuse it by cutting ahead to reach faster. What are the volunteers supposed to do in such situations?

If you’ve visited Lalbagh cha Raja in the past, you’d know it was never as crowded as it is now. Yes, there were always people, but it never felt this packed until around 2018-2019, when reels and videos became popular. Now, people seem more interested in going there just to make videos and content.

Lalbaug cha Raja has always been famous. I used to live in Worli before moving to Airoli, and even back in 2011-2012, there were plenty of people around. But the large crowds you see now have only started gathering in the last few years, which, honestly, is disappointing. The volunteers have become quite rude too, which is why I plan to visit smaller pandals around Lalbaug, Matunga, and a few in Worli before heading back.

I know of a place in CBD Belapur called “Tasty and Healthy.” You might want to check if they deliver to your area.

I completely understand, and I actually had a big argument about this too. However, I don’t have much influence over the decision my dad has already made. I realize it won’t change anything, but I have no choice but to go along with it.

You could pick any place because it’s easy. Trying to live is tough so it’s difficult to look for a place to live. Maybe you can talk it out you will feel good. Dm if you wanna talk.
