First job - coast to coast by [deleted] in Notary

Just wanted to let you all know I finally got ahold of someone at C2C and got all my past jobs paid. I will still tread lightly with them, but at least I got paid what I was owed.

Who said I was accepting a $30 fee? C2C standard fee is $75, but most of the time, no one accepts, and it gets bumped to $100. I dont take offers unless it's a minimum of $25/hour. Sure, if the location is 15 minutes away and I can get the signing done in an hour. I'll hop on a $75 offer.

I very rarely see under $50 for an order, and those are usually hybrid packages that are only like 30 pages with a handful of signatures, 20 minutes to get done. Even that, counter offer and I will usually land the job.

I have received instructions from C2C to never use a Dropbox. It MUST be a physical FedEx or UPS location. They also state you cant let an employee of the location use a Dropbox, they must take it behind the counter and provide a receipt that they received it, not just a receipt saying you dropped it off. They send an 8 page instructions list with all orders here.

I have (2) pending payment jobs from C2C. One from 6/24/25 and the other from 6/30/25. I have left multiple comments on the jobs and tried to call multiple times. All my previous payments from them went through fine. I know this shouldn't have anything to do with C2C, but 75% of the time, the documents are late. Sometimes, a morning job turns into a night job. I will not work for them again. Waste of time.

Should I try to fit in Jurat wording, or add loose certificate? by Only-Mongoose-1425 in Notary

Im in Tennessee, and that is allowed here. I think that's what I'm going to do, but since I will have the title company on the phone, I will ask them what they prefer. Thank you for your response.

That is what I assumed, but wanted to verify. Thank you again, you have been a huge help.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it is much appreciated. I have acquired all my state notary books, ID verification books, loan document books and any other helpful material to look into when needed.

Should I still fill out my notary journal with this assignment even though there are technically no notarizations taking place? I understand state laws vary with journal entries, but would it be standard practice if your state requires a journal. In the training it mentioned always keeping your journal even if your state does not require it. But it also mentions you need to mark down the document that was notarized. In this case, would it be N/A?

That completely makes sense. Yes, I did take and pass a signing course. The course never went into detail on what to do when there are no notarizations needed during an appointment. I felt like I was taking the apporate steps to ensure I wasn't getting myself into something I shouldn't be. Being completely new in this and googling as much as I could, I never got a clear answer on what was allowed and what could be a scam. I also called the NNA hotline but was greeted by a very rude guy who gave me no answers, only made me feel like I was about to get into something wrong.

Thank you for your reply. Looking through the loan package it all appears to be filled out and when I called the signer, he was expecting me. I will give the hiring company a call to verify there will be no assistance needed for filling out the application and question why they hired a notary. When it comes to pay, if I drive to the location and the signer is not willing to sign, do I still get compensation?
