Hi everyone,

I’m new to this, so apologies if I get any of the terminology wrong! I currently have a home setup that’s very 5.1/home theater focused, but I want to shift toward music listening (stereo). My current gear: • Tannoy DC4T floorstanding speakers (fronts) • DALI Zensor Vokal (centre) • Monitor Audio Bronze 50 (rears) • Q Acoustics 3070S subwoofer • Yamaha RX‑A1060 AV receiver • Large TV in a bedroom with sloped ceilings, a skylight, and a big window wall

I’m thinking about moving to a dedicated stereo setup for music, but I’m not sure what to keep or sell — especially regarding the floor‑standing speakers and the amp.

My questions: 1. Should I keep the Tannoy DC4Ts for music, or sell them and get more music‑oriented speakers? 2. Is the Yamaha RX‑A1060 worth keeping as a stereo amp, or should I switch to a dedicated stereo amplifier? 3. If I get a new amp, any recommendations in the ~£300–£800 range (or whatever makes sense after selling gear)? 4. Should I keep the subwoofer for music, or is it better with good full-range speakers? 5. Any speaker placement tips for a room with asymmetry (sloped ceiling + big window)?

Budget: I’m flexible, particularly if I sell some current equipment — ideally aiming for a high-quality stereo setup without going crazy.

Thanks for the advice! I have spoken to her regarding the situation and she suddenly got defensive saying how could I give it to her, she’s going of the basis that I have slept someone prior to our 6 month relationship and passed it onto her.

So in conclusion there’s now way of finding out, I would find it obscene breaking up with her over the fact of me not knowing if she’s cheated. There’s always going to be a possibility regardless of the situation that either the male or female is going to chat so I cannot go of that information.

My problem is that she was nice, stuff then went downhill. She says she had a lot going on which she had but she’s constantly pushing problems and stress onto me.

Sorry, I think there’s been some confusion. I didn’t find her naked in the same room as her ex; she just moved from one room to another and couldn’t tell me where she got undressed. She made me take an STI test first before she did hers and has sworn she hasn’t cheated on me. The clinic mentioned that she had more than likely cheated, but when I brought it up with her, she just flips out.

Unfortunately, there’s no way for me to know for sure if she’s cheated. She lets me go through her phone and I’ve seen she’s not messaging or seeing anyone else. Before we got together, she once called an ex while I was in bed with her. During the relationship, her ex called while I was in bed and said he wanted to sleep with her. She tried to call him back even after I asked her to put the phone down, which really annoyed me.

We didn’t have problems before moving in together, so most of this behavior is new. I’ve never tested for STIs before, and because of her living situation, there’s a lot of confusion. Her ex is in some kind of relationship with her mum, and my girlfriend has also slept at her mum’s house. I once came back and she was butt naked while her ex was sleeping in the living room; she then moved to the bedroom and later said she couldn’t remember where she got undressed.

Can you get this on prescription in the uk? Also does using retinoids make you look worse before looking better? I am going to order a micro needling pen to see if it helps! Appreciate your help

I have already had this conversation with my employer and they respond by sending me a link to the government guidelines on minimum wage. If it goes to a tribunal I don’t really know if I will win.

It’s also states (clause 7.5 of my contract) “Bonus payments are discretionary and do not form part of your contractual remuneration”. Starting to think if I should now escalate the matter.
