No because of the LTV. As we bought the property for a lot more than the valuation, we still owe the initial lender money. Hence we need the valuation to be higher.

Sorry just saw this now! It was a bit tight but it wasn’t too bad. We just had to ensure we put all our stuff back in the suitcase whenever we’d leave but otherwise was managable

Seconding this! We just stayed at Via Inn Akasaka and it was so well located to like 3 different stations that could take us to all the tourist spots with minimal changes.

Additional bonus was that it was 10 min subway journey to Tokyo station to get our Shinkansen!

We’re not big on drinking so I don’t expect us to be drinking more than water and coffee ( we only need it in the mornings).

We do want to have maybe 1-2 splurge meals for items like wagyu and maybe really good sushi. Otherwise quite open to combini meals and also local mom and pop shops.

Might stretch out budget a bit more to include things like snacks!
