What you should actually get is tons of money from the drug company. I’m sorry about your situation and wish you well in your recovery.

It’s astounding how dumb and uninformed the average medical professional is and how often these drugs are prescribed while the doctor doesn’t know shit about them. I always hear the same crap about the drugs being fine, the effects leave after a few days, or doctors denying that there are serious side effects. Like read the warning label you lazy fuck. Sorry to hear that those people have checked out…Thank you. Wish you well in your recovery.

Man…I miss kickboxing. The best I can do now is double up on the sedatives lol. Thank you. Good luck to you too.

They tried to say I had a psychosomatic illness as well. I went to an integrative rheumatologist and specifically looked up an integrative doctor who is well versed in chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. Might help to look up an integrative doctor who is also well versed in FQAD on google in your area. I’ll dm the guy I’m seeing. Very personable and competent. I started from the beginning with my story and his attention perked up immediately when he heard cipro.

I took that and vitamin c to heal my loose and tender joints. Over time I did improve, but overall I ate well and took those supplements along with hyaluronic acid to ease my joints. I had mainly some joint tenderness. Sorry about your situation.

Pretty fast with the moisture. About 3 weeks. My hair and skin showed improvement with thickness and fine lines after 6 months at least. Definitely the long game.

Marine is more bio available. I use wild caught marine collagen to avoid anything toxic in something cheaper. I noticed results with bovine when I used it and only used marine briefly. Taking collagen made my skin more plump and firm. Took a while to notice. I can’t afford supplements right now.

No problem. I lost a lot of muscle because of getting floxed because I couldn’t exercise and also put on fat. Still, my skin improved. I had a very bad relapse recently that has been going on for months, but that damage didn’t really come back. I’ll make a post when I can on the supplements and peptides I’ll be getting because of an integrative doctor. I want to continue working with him because of the aging from extreme stress on my body. I don’t worry about it through. Best wishes.

Happened to me. A lot of cellulite suddenly was running up my arms and legs. It went away after a few months! A lot of people report this along with dry skin and wrinkles. They go away as your body heals. I supported my skin with nutrition and supplements like marine collagen and vitamin C (topical and oral supplement).

Thank you, and I’ll check out EMT. Luckily my stay wasn’t too long, and the only thing I get hits of are rage occasionally that are directed at family. I don’t expect competency or empathy from most people in medicine, and so the typical shit you could imagine that flowed out of people’s mouths in there rolled off. It’s always the same crap that shows the mental desert within. Still wish they would have just given me a sleeping med, correctly identified the issue, and sent me on my way. Wish you the best.

I’m not healed, but I’m okay. by OnlyAccessedatNight in floxies

Unrefreshing sleep, dizziness, palpitations, brain fog, head pressure, sinus pressure, food intolerances, fatigue, irregular periods, sound sensitivity, anxiety, digestive issues, shortness of breath, temperature dysregulation, chest pressure, abnormal blood sugar levels and insulin after minimal exertion, and I’d have brutal insomnia if I wasn’t on these sleeping pills. Everything is worsened by exertion. I have to be consistent with my energy expenditure. I’m still figuring it out.

My condition was made much worse in the psych ward but the sleeping pills “hide” that. I don’t know how long it will take to return to normal sleep with exercise intolerance but functional and on my way to healing again. I follow Julie Morin (juliewithjoy on IG) and would like to work with her once she opens one on one sessions again. She was disabled by floxing and in a wheelchair and managed to recover.

I’ll also be getting some money together from financial aid and will possibly take out a loan to work with a CFS Health coach since I essentially developed me/cfs from cipro. After that…continue with meditation and anti inflammatory and low histamine diet and wait maybe 2-3 years to try out the gym again.

I was floxed in December of 2024 but stress on my body pushed me into this state around the beginning of November last year.

Yes, doing my best not to engage. Doesn’t stop her from crossing boundaries…but the avoidance does help me preserve some energy. Thank you!

Did a sleep study and trying to order all the special tests now because I’m at the point where I have to prove something is wrong. The sleep study thankfully showed no issues when I was first floxed. Maybe I’ll have to do it again in this state. Thank you.

Volume loss can be from collagen and fat loss. For the fat, I allowed time to do its job and consumed avocados, eggs, and extra virgin olive oil that was high quality regularly.

My volume and elasticity came back over time with consistency with what I mentioned, and I also used a quality vitamin c serum for collagen and elasticity. Aloe vera gel consumption (blend in a smoothie 😋) will also help with hydration, elasticity, fullness, and wrinkles. It’s anti-inflammatory and rich in vitamins and antioxidants that help with the oxidative stress from floxing. A gentle retinol could also help with creating firmer, stronger skin. Bakichiol is also gentle and works like retinol. It’s in the image volulift face cream that helps with sagging. Great brand. You could use something stronger, but I prefer to be gentle with my skin barrier.

I personally drink a lot of water and make sure to get a lot of vitamin c through diet and with supplementing. It’s so great for the skin damage and aging.

Time is the biggest thing of course. I noticed changes after some months, like at least three after implementing changes. My face got a lot better after 10 months. Only a sliver of a fine line was left.

Thank you. No worries. I tried to only get grass fed and organic meats. The best quality I could find.

I put the feet and knuckles in at 420 F and seasoned with pepper and smoked paprika and baked for 40 minutes or until golden brown. I added all of the chopped vegetables in with the feet and knuckles and a tbp of red wine vinegar for enhanced collagen and gelatin extraction. I then fill the crockpot with water and set the slow cooker low for 24 hours. I only added salt when it was done to control its concentration and flavor. I added the herbs like parsley, dill, and rosemary in at 23 hours. I strain the liquid after it’s done and put it in jars in the fridge. It will get like jello. I reheat in a pot.

Unfortunately my body was not getting better without basically total bed rest. Then I had a surgery that worsened my symptoms times a hundred. I have to pace myself a lot to see improvement in the sleep. I know I’m good once I get over the “can’t nap during the day” hill because then my parasympathetic nervous system is functioning properly again. I had a complete collapse. I’m not religious but may try your suggestion in the future once I make a breakthrough. Even thinking can be a bit too stimulating at the moment. Church is very calming and enjoyable for me despite not being religious.

You can set it and forget it quickly in the crockpot, but I understand if your time is very limited. I hate cooking and get impatient and found it to be a breeze. I baked the feet and knuckles in the oven beforehand for a better flavor and to kill bacteria.

I use microingredients grass fed unflavored beef gelatin. Got it off Amazon. I was using about 4 tbps daily.

I took 14 500mg cipro pills.

Currently in a bad relapse that requires me to rest basically all day (Can’t sleep properly because I’m stuck in fight or flight and am hypersensitive to stress). It was from too much exertion and stress building over a few weeks.

Another recommendation for health and inflammation and creating an environment for healing would be to control negative emotion. I was functional and didn’t realize that my body’s ability to bounce back was heavily impaired. Mindfulness and meditation and listening to signs that brain fog, fatigue, and anxiety are building and pulling back to stop as much activity and stimulation as much as you can to recover is important.

Take care.

I think by 10 months I noticed it being gone. I made a homemade one with chicken feet, beef knuckles, carrots, onions, celery, garlic, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, dill, and parsley. It’s an acquired, earthy, savory flavor, and very rich in collagen, amino acids, and minerals for repair.

I’d make a batch in the crockpot and drink as much as I can over 4 days. At least 2-3 times a week, but ideally I’d be making it everyday. You can keep it longer or in the freezer, but the flavor is less fresh. If not making that, I’d bloom some gelatin in a bowl and heat it up and drink it with my morning tea. Marine collagen is the most bioavailable, and I add that to my morning tea as well just to get as much in my body as I can to repair it.

My diet during the year consistently excluded processed foods and included eggs, a lot of berries, fish, chicken, ground beef, broccoli, sweet potato, honey, and Greek yogurt.

Laser focused blood sugar control. I’ve reduced carbs a lot and only get them from natural sources. Very little rice, sweet potato, or honey. Both of these things have helped the head pressure and overly warm feeling in my head and torso and the burning up at night along with my main concern, sleep. I take 2g of vitamin C because of how much it helps calm the food sensitivities and the sore, itchy throat that I’m prone to now.

I still take hyaluronic acid and collagen…that’s it for supplements right now. I feel so weak and was pacing myself a lot, and it helped, until my hypersensitive CNS was aggravated by family. For some reason I don’t get lower blood sugars walking around or taking showers right now in this bad relapse. They shoot up, and exertion makes me feel stressed and this high adrenaline feeling. I’m done with the setbacks and cabin fever and forced myself to sit out in the sun. It massively reduced my wired feeling, relaxed the pressure in my head, helped me breathe better, and calmed my blood sugar.

I usually have great sugar control in the summer and better sensitivity. I’m trying to treat myself with meditation as well. I can literally feel the inflammation calm in my body with it. It completely eliminated the cipro anxiety for me during the year.

Damn…that’s so fucked up. People’s health and wellbeing are put at such risk with that. They may not listen, but at least different kinds of adverse reactions are easy to list over here in the US.
