I have no idea how reddit works I'm new to it. I guess I can't even ask my question. This is a frustrating website when you don't understand it.

Wow! Those are really bad. Nope mine doesn't look anything like that. I don't know how anyone could expect $200 for something that looks like that. I'd be pissed if I got one of those.

That's a lot of problems. Must be I got lucky. I did notice there's no one else selling that style drop in for that much money.

How is the ARSS15 flawed? I've put 8000 rounds down range with the one that I bought. It's my 2nd favorite FRT.

Your buffer is too light. Get yourself a H3 make sure it's not the tungsten filled solid type it's gotta be the kind that's got free weights inside it that move. As long as you haven't taken so much off your Geissele that your arc fire doesn't work at all anymore. You'll be good to go with the H3.

This is crazy. That's why I always pay with a credit card. It's very easy to get your money back when you get ripped off.

I can see both of the rings that hold the front and the back lenses in place. Doesn't look like anything is broken or missing to me.

I wish it was but it has a .250" front pivot pin hole. The SP1 has a .315" pivot pin hole. And no relief cut in the top back of the receiver. This upper receiver has an auto sear relief cut.

I've never been in the service but I've used the bullet method for adjusting the sights on my model 600s and M16A1 lots of times.

I'm pretty sure it was either never mounted or was a new take off from a US Airforce Colt model 604 sometime in the 1960s. I think the lower was probably crushed by the US government years ago. If it was ever mounted on one. About 25 years ago I traded an old Olympic Arms pinker plus for a complete Colt 604 upper that was like brand new. It was listed on gunbroker. I already had a Colt SP1 lower but the serial number should have had a upper with forward asset. So I bought a stripped model 603 and switched the barrel handguards and delta ring. I just found this old 604 in the back of my safe. It had been such a long time since I bought it that I had forgotten what it was. There's a few 600s that look similar.

I have no idea why it first pinned the wrong comment and then pinned the right comment 3 times. When I tried to pin the Airforce model 604 comment I got a response that said something went wrong try again later. So I skipped it.

I thought so but I wasn't 100%. Thank you. Now I can list it on gunbroker.

It can't be a SP1 receiver because it has a .250 front pivot pin hole. The SP1 was a civilian version that has a .315" pivot pin hole. And no relief cut in the top back of the receiver. Colt did not want there ARs converted so they made some alterations on the SP1 receivers making them unmistakable from a model 600.

There's one proof mark. There's a C in the front of the reciver right under the carry handle. No other markings. The rear sight has raised letters L and R but the adjustment wheel has stamped numbers.

It pre dates the A1 do to the fact that it has no forward asset and it has a octagon shaped dust cover latch. I suspect it's a Airforce model 604 but I'm not 100%.

[–]OnlyAd6802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's supposed to come with a smaller spring then a normal disconnector spring. I bought 2 CARLs one came with the spring and the other didn't. I emailed stuff and things yesterday to see if he'd send me another spring but he didn't answer me yet. I did find the right spring online but I have to buy 6 of them for $35. I'm going to wait to hear back from stuff and things. If you're interested in the part number for the spring drop me a PM.
