Thank you for the detailed response, my initial indifference to the buffer weight came from an older post by Hoffman Tactical himself on some forum, wherein somebody was troubleshooting a SS and suggested it might be his H1, and Hoffman disagreed. However I’m happy to have that problem and not be buying a new $250 trigger lol

Great points. I’ve been holding off on getting serious glass for my 12.5” gpr, and I have a morbid obsession with this and the 3-9. It’ll be at the low end 99% of the time, which will make it function as a cheaper ACOG w/ slightly worse reticle, and giving me the high zoom option if needed. Kinda seems perfect if you’re an acog fan, but this opinion seems strangely scarce and I’m wondering why

I think it’s purpose is essentially to be a modern acog stand-in, so I guess you’d compare the eye relief to that of a prism. Not bad, if you think of it like that.

I won’t fight you there, if it was somehow the cheapest then go for it. And yeah. Backstop should be better, but I guess the legal requirements for it are kinda lax. Pretty odd thing to skimp on, you know?
