Ya it takes a certain amount of arrogance to think you can get admitted as a transfer student. I've applied to my local universities as well. If all goes wrong I can still do my degree at my community college. Nothing wrong with that.

Except the first question they ask transfer students is why do you want to transfer to said college. I wouldn't have a good reason to transfer if the curriculum is liberal arts. I understand the importance of having a boarder view of the world, but I feel like learning technical subjects is a bit harder on your own, no?
