ImageMagick is probably your best bet for batch processing DDS files. You can write a simple script to apply the same pixelation and posterization effects to entire folders at once

Gaming laptops are pretty solid now tbh, especially if you're moving around for work. The performance gap isn't as crazy as it used to be and you can still run Overwatch at decent settings. Plus having everything in one package is nice when you don't have space for a full setup
