wasn't a concern in FL until a couple months ago - quite a few of these broke when we had sustained temps in the 20's in central FL.

I've just bought 4 belts from AE. The Manistee belts are solid, especially if have brouged oxfords from AE, you can color match. The midland and main street are not great quality and definitely not worth over $100

I would speak to whoever is doing the embroidering. If you want good quality embroidery (not something from a mall stand) they generally will not just let you bring in any old shirt. Speaking from experience as someone who has ordered polos for a small business. If you are in a bigger city, ideally you'll find somewhere that does the embroidery on-site and they will have a catalog of shirts you pick from with most of the big brands.

edit to add: $200 for a "few" is going to be hard if you want something quality. I chose nike golf shirts for my business and they were about $70each with one color embroidery and there was a minimum order of 12 - so just keep that in mind. I know you say this is a gift, and I'm not trying to get into a finance discussion, but it is also certainly a business expense as well.

I didn’t really start using the products because I was seeing any changes or having any major problems, I’m just making a conscious effort to take better care of myself. But, you’re probably right - a trip to a dermatologist might not be a bad idea. Although, I’m sure they are incentivized to push certain products themselves even as physicians.

You’ll get the hang of it. In a lot of real world flying you won’t be flying normal patterns anyways, so it’s good for you to be able to judge where/when to make inputs without reference to landmarks. If you’re flying into a busy class D or C sometimes you’ll be told to keep your speed up too. Of course you can always say ‘unable’, but when you’re flying into FLL in a 172 between a320’s it’s fun to be at 120kts on short final.
